AAU4 Release time?

Only the Fokker FVll and the aussie update

@OldpondGL
I don’t know. I’m not able to check the marketplace / library on my PC at the moment (I have all 5 aircraft as part of the Aviator edition). It would not surprise me if the updates arrive at different times for different folks, just like SU5, which was rolled out over a period of hours, but this is just my personal opinion and not based on factual knowledge or inside information (which we Volunteer Moderators - as just users of MSFS - do not have).

@Pilotfirst9999: The CAC Boomerang is the Local Legend 24 and not part of AAU4.

Oh yes, the Boomerang you can buy in the MP - sorry forgot that one probably because those are not really my cup of tea - but others are already chatting about it and liking it.

I did download the world update and did update the FVll but none of the others were there when I signed off about 15 min ago.

The rest of AAU4 is delayed, with no revised date:

Rough start to the year for this team.

Communication is not this team’s strong suite huh? They wait till end of day on the day of release to say it’s postponed? I was waiting for this too, oh well, just another blemish on this team’s already questionable reputation.

It is either something simple causing an issue, hence why it’s delayed at the last minute, and won’t be far away. Or an unknown or unexpected error came up in last minute testing. Or as has been suggested the comms just suck and who knows when it comes out.

it must be something with the wider systems upgrades rather than plane specific, other wise we would likely see the update and some of the aircraft. Though my bet was on the ATR being problematic.

Either way it would be good to get some clarity.

I agree. There seems to be a lack of mind mindedness. Lots of people will have been hanging on / staying on in anticipation of the scheduled update, and then a very late in the day and cursory announcement is made. This seems poor communication to me.

This time there weren’t even any holidays in the US or France to blame, so I guess we just wait until the very last minute of the day for them to announce that “finish time” now means whenever they decide it does.

And now that the ATR has been postponed, are we supposed to believe it’ll finally launch “polished” enough — unlike the first completely broken version they sold as an Expert Series product?

Yeah
 I seriously doubt it.

We’ve been waiting on the ATR update for over a year. They sold us a broken aircraft, full of a million bugs, and still tried to pass it off as an “Expert Series” product. We honestly don’t get what’s going on anymore always last minute delays, always excuses. It’s just frustrating and honestly pretty disrespectful to their customers.

Quite possibly some of the worst communication I have ever seen in flight sim in recent times, keeping people guessing until last minute on release day is not okay and is outright disrespectful to your customers. Chances were available to tell us that it was delayed or there were last minute issues, when the WU announcement was made surely these problems were known, why weren’t they shared?

Release windows come and go without any explanation nowadays and you are losing trust in your community, getting us to read between the lines or pickup cryptic hints in other announcements is not acceptable. Please just be honest and up front when issues rear their heads at the last minute, most of us understand that software development has last minute hitches, but leaving everyone in the dark is pretty poor.

I look forward with eager anticipation to finally seeing this update when it lands in our sims

Happy landings :airplane:

Please, please Asobo, Microsoft, Jorge and everyone involved. Skip all this tiresome marketing speech of being excited, polishing planes and so forth. Just communicate with us in an honest open way and give us the information we need in a timely manner, including information about problems and delays.
The ATR is a very long story on how things should’t be.

I can no longer describe my frustration, anger, and disgust with how Asobo/MS treats its PAYING customers. It’s unbelievable how low the quality has become in so many areas, including communication with fans and customers. I’m so incredibly glad X-Plane exists. Otherwise, as a passionate flight simmer, I’d be completely lost. Shame on you, Asobo!!!

I honestly think the Top Management structures are oblivious to our complaints and feelings. There are people who read these threads and pass on filtered information for use in developing the sim in one way or another. I personally don’t think our feelings, given there are 20,000,000 purchasers of this sim, from Jorgs own mouth this stat, are given much credence.
We are a tiny, noisy nuisance and are unlikely to change any company policy.

Then, it’s dooming right now.

Come on! It’s really not a big deal. Don’t forget—it’s just a game, and if they take a bit more time to improve things, that’ll only be better for all of us. Like we say: time will tell!

I don’t think the “bid deal” is the delay, it’s the way and timing of how the delay was communicated.

So why didn’t they do that with SU5? Bugs introduced, reported during beta, ‘Bug Logged’ during beta, yet released to the public regardless. That is a big deal, because it keeps happening update after update.

Now your above comment would be an interesting thread don’t you think?
This one is done and dusted andnothing we can do about it except wait.
