A far more REALISTIC Logbook system, would allow you to create additional logbooks, that import the Totals from the previous one, making previous logbooks READ Only, but selectable for viewing.
Only the Current (latest Logbook) would get updated by flights made.
Deleting entries in a logbook is a Big NO-NO, strike through them maybe, but never delete, or rip pages out,

Actually, as a Dev, I spend 99.9% of my time in Dev Mode, so my number of logbooks entries are minimal !!!
For those that want Real World Logbool Immersion, buy a logbook from Sporty’s , and fill it in by hand after every flight !!!
You have to pay for the pro version. Even in Beta it does the job. You can ban my profile here if I am not telling the truth. 19 Euro or 18 USD is not a lot considering how much I spent on planes that are poorly developed. Like Spitfire mkIX. I’d rather do the shooting in IL2 sturmovik.
What drives me crazy is how flights are being recorded. Even when you do restart it is logged. With this tool you can see table like in SQL and sort things by missing flights etc. What I am missing is filters but you have some. I made few successful flights since buying it. You have to do the cleaning when game is not running. So far it is very promising. What makes me happy is no more garbage flights. Number of take offs = number of landings. It is all that matters for me.
You know a pint of Guinness in Temple bar in Dublin is about 10 Euro. Surely there are better comparisons. Nevertheless, msfs developer did F’all about addressing the issue so you may as well keep waiting. I didn’t get the app for free and certainly not doing any marketing here.
And the Months it took to figure out how to design it, and write it is also “Prohibitive”, as is the cost of a computer to run MSFS, an Internet connection, and many other things you may already have.
IF you are unwilling to pay the developer for the 100’s of hours it takes to write a tool like this, then you have the choice NOT to purchase it – nobody is forcing you.
Try writing something like this yourself, and after a few weeks of 10 hour days, you will appreciate just how much you are getting for your money.

But i don’t really use the logbook so why would i pay for it i use the internet and a computer..
so weird feels like I’m being moaned at for not wanting to buy a piece of software i would never use.

So you have no reason at all to buy it, you don’t want it, you don’t need it, so to you, ANY cost of a payware tool to do something you do not need or want to do is “Prohibitive”.
Far enough – but obviously others feel different, as is their right to, and have purchased it, and been very happy with it.
i never said other shouldn’t buy, it i never criticised its cost overall but for me the price is prohibitive as i wouldn’t use it, in fact i never even expressed an interest in it ever.
the only thing i did was reply to your comment about never ripping out logbook pages to muse the fact a real logbook wouldn’t have 0 hour entries.

What a wonderfull world we are living in.
I see some very nice features in this software thoough, don’t get me wrong.
But …
Having a simple (and highly requested) feature requesting the premium/pro/uber licence of the software whereas some over more demanding and expert features are in the free version is kinda … questionable.

i whish we have an editor or an option to edit logbooks
for deleting empty flights or started flights with 0 landings,
its annoying to see these flights.
or the Flightsimulator ignores or hiding these flights in the future at the logbook.
so,
it would be really cool to have it for cleaning the logbook.
