Hi guys,

I have a nlr gt track platform, I always use virtual reality with the Hp G2.

Now I have decided to buy the V3 movement platform, I am totally new to these systems.

I am interested in using the v3 with fs2020, especially with the helicopters that They are my great passion.

Hype Group H145 and the Cowan Md500e are my favorites, please ask the insider…

How can I install the profiles and where are they obtained from???

Thank you very much community for helping the initiates.

Greetings

Hi @predator038 and welcome to the motion simulation world
You can find my profiles here: https://www.postfrontal.com/FS2020/MotionPlatform/FS2020_Profiles.zip
After decompressing, you can import them directly in the Motion Simulator software (look at the bottom of the list to find the import profile button).

Have fun!

Thank you very much for your kindness and work, I have formalized and paid for the v3, when my distributor sends it to my house, I will try your profiles and I will contribute to reward your work.

Do you have Patreon ???.

Thank you so much.

Hello again friends,

After a long wait, today I received my Nlr v3, a question, when I enter the serial number of the equipment I get two versions of the nlr software to download, I have downloaded and installed the latest compilation ( 2.129.1). It also gives me the option to download the previous version 2.127.

This version (2.129.1) is compatible with the profiles of the Tellurico1975 partner for the Fs2020 ???, especially for the H145 helicopter which is the one that interests me the most ???

Thank you so much.

Greetings

Hey! Happy you got your new toy!
You should be good to go with the latest release, if you experience any trouble just let me know. Try the H145 with the General Aviation profile. Import the models with the button at the bottom of the list.

Have fun!

Thank you very much for your quick response friend, in the next few days I will install fs2020 with your profiles and I will comment on the results, especially with the H145.

Today I have been able to test project cars 2 for about an hour with the nlr v3 and the sensations have been very good, it is very fun I have intense feeling the physical movements of the v3 in my body, it is a very small and compact unit but with a force Incredible, it moves my 85 kilos without any kind of problem, it is very, very powerful, it will withstand such intense movement over time without breaking down ???,.

Is this unit ready to perform such intense movements without suffering the internal mechanism ??? .

Greetings

Since the latest update of the software ( could have been the version before as well ) I noticed that “Motion Compensation Disabled” actually means enabled and vice-versa.
At least in the Fouga Magister, but I don’t think the plane type matters at all.

I’ve had a look at the Next Level V3 motion rig. Looks pretty cool but it doesn’t seem that well suited for a flight simulator to be honest. You’ll get a lot more out of it as a racing motion rig I think.

VR Flight Sim Guy (YouTuber) invested in a DOF Reality H2 (2-axis) motion rig which looks better and is cheaper than the NL V3 for flight simulation.

Athough guys let me know if you’ve looked into both products. Probably you could also stretch for the DOF Reality H3 (3 axis) which doesn’t have a big footprint. The H3 6-axis version is quite a bit bigger and more expensive.

It is true that the company Dof Reality has better prices, but I highly doubt that they have the high quality of Nlr products. Nlr it is true that their products are high in price, but their quality is the best that exists in the market.

I bought my unit used and it has now over 600 hours of use without a single glitch. Being a MotionSystems unit “dressed” as a NLR product, the quality is assured!

Happy driving and flights

Thanks for your answer friend,

You leave me calmer, I am at this very moment trying to configure it with MFS2020 and your profiles.

The version of the nlr software that I have is the latest (2.129.1) and from your profiles I have a rar file called v6. 0.

I unzip it and I have 8 files called fs2020 acro, airliners, general aviation, cabri, h145, heli, jet FIGHTERS and kodiak.

Please, would you be so kind as to tell me how I have to add and load them in the nlr app, I am totally new to this matter, thank you very much for your kindness.

Greetings

I don’t understand very well, if I want to fly the h145, because I have to load the general aviation profile, it would be more accurate to load my own profile called h145??, sorry for so many questions, I’m starting with v3 and I have a lot to learn.

Thank you so much.

Greetings

Sorry I don’t really get this at all. You’re going to have to do a lot better than that to convice me.

From what I can see the NL device is essentially fixed with just the seat pivoting/sliding. For a flight simulator based motion rig, you need the entire chassy moving not just a seat where your feet are anchored to the floor. Like I said before, this only really benefits sim racers hence the name of the company.

I’m sure the quality bar is high with Next Level Racing, but it’s only doing half the job. The basic 2 DOF Reality rig looks way more immersive for aerial flight than this pivoting seat made for sim racers.

Sorry for the late reply, I was on the road. If you scroll to the bottom of the NLR software (where you see all the profiles), you will find a “Import Profile” button. You just click on that and chose one of the profiles found inside the ZIP file. Repeat the process for all the profiles you want to import.

The H145 profile was an experiment, I personally ended up preferring flying with the General Aviation profile for helicopters as well, as it is more subtle but more realistic in my opinion.

What a profile actually does is using the acceleration and position (plus a series of other parameters) from FS2020 to translate them into the platform movement through some C++ programming. I have done this trying to match various aircraft types with relative forces and speeds in the platform. I.e. if you use the General Aviation profile with an Extra 300 in FS2020 you will get an exaggerated movement, because the math used for the profile is very different since I needed to use the limits of the platform as a physical reference to recreate (with all the limits of 2DOF) the most accurate sensations.

Helicopters are a case apart, as they can hover, and when you hover and, let’s say, roll left, you are not getting the accelerations from the platform but the heli body position. But then when you build up some speed and make a coordinated turn you will need to feel the opposite side Gs… it’s complicated and that’s what I tried to do with the H145 profile (that you can use with any helicopter). It’s a matter of taste, try both the H145 and General Aviation profiles with the helicopters and see what you prefer.

You can always use the sliders in the profile settings to tweak them even more to your liking.

hey would love to give this a try but cant seem to download the cpp file

The ZIP link changed since that post. it’s: https://www.postfrontal.com/FS2020/MotionPlatform/FS2020_Profiles.zip

I updated the link in that post as well.
Have fun!
