This is PRECISELY the kind of thing I find mind boggling.
Here they are reworking all these base, deluxe and premium aircraft for 2024 and they don’t even bother to come to this forum, do a quick search for bugs for each of these aircraft and knock out fixes for them while they are doing the aforementioned rework.
Example:
“…but we read every post.”
What, while watching YouTube with your good eye?
What IS the point of bug-logged if they are simply going to blow them off?
Right now when a bug is tagged bug-logged we know it is known to them. Whether and when it will gets fixed is a big question and it would be nice to know about it, but I can understand why they don’t share this. I see the next war coming if they would. Because everyone will think that their issue has the highest priority.
As I posted elsewhere, I repurchased the sim 3 days ago.
I sat down with it hours ago and I’m trying various base/deluxe/premium aircraft and – no hyperbole – I have been unable to do a single thing today without discovering a new bug.
I am still absolutely astounded by the sheer volume of bugs and bugs yet to be discovered here.
How is this sim ever going to get fixed? It’s the very definition of overwhelming.
Been carrying on with flights for APLv2 in the Fenix just fine. Have completed dozens of point-points in other aircraft without any major SNAFUs in flight.
Tried to do a quick cargo run using the A330-300F from Melbourne to Canberra, the initial climb went smoothly. I did however notice only one contrail coming from the plane and lack of complete sound.
I then started the descent from FL300 and the plane started climbing instead of the descending, all hell then broke loose and the plane rapidly nose-dived and plunged towards the ground and I just watched hopelessly as nothing I was doing was responding to my inputs. So, yeah… I am now just waiting for the patch.
I’m on XSX and the PMDG 737 works pretty well. I’ve done several multi hour flights with no problems. Not factoring in the Xbox free look issues (and others). Ironically they removed the liveries as if that was somehow the problem. To remove legit 3rd party add-ons which were causing none of the issues, on top of the dumpster launch, is really a joke at this point.
I’ve tried to do a simple flight with any airbus or boeing and it won’t send from the table to Avionics there for there is no flight plan in the plane despite being on the tablet still. AP is broken, won’t hold altitude, can’t follow a flight plan since it won’t load. Its a hot mess. I have no time for this after spending $150 and having to go to work and raise kids. I asked Microsoft for a refund and was denied so I am currently disputing it with Amex. I will go back to 2020 and revisit 2024 in 6 months to see how you guys are coming along.
You should probably put a caveat in there about impossible with a certain aircraft. I can’t find any bugs in my C172 G1000. Tho if there’s something with old school nav stuff I wouldn’t know. GPS is where it’s at
I don’t fly glass. I think I should be able to choose any aircraft in the sim and it should work. Or do I have to fly an aircraft I don’t want to fly in order to ba able to fly at all?
Either I get a CTD or there is another error showing up in a window, some aircraft have dark and therefor unreadable displays (Carenado Mooney), some aircraft cannot be started from C&D (Aero-45).
However, I now tried the C172 G1000. After pressing “Ready to fly” I tried to walk around but the keyboard keys didn’t work. I even wasn’t able to press ESC. First time I encouter this error. I cannot do the preflight check. The mouse works, but not the keyboard.
It’s good the sim works for you, for me it doesn’t.
I thought the same…the Cessna 172 has disappeared. Actually in patch #3 they renamed it to be the same as 2020…look further under the old name 'Textron Aviation Cessna. The Beechcraft and 152 and 172 CJ4 and Longitude are all there.
This sentence describes the current status of FS2024 exactly to the point. Worse still, the seemingly 1000+ bugs that seem to be there are only a few server-related. Because the sim is simply not finished, it is a huge construction site. If you know about large construction sites, then you know that it takes a very long time until everything is finished . . . not really finished, but at least acceptable, like the state of FS2020 after 4 years.
My Message to MSFS and Asobo. Scrap MSFS2024 its a Disgraced Product its Not no where near Finished its full of Bugs. I have seen lots on Social media saying the same scrap the thing and give Refunds. you have taken our Money. for what hey? This has to be the worst simulator ever Released you have really lost trust now in millions of users who use flight Simulator. MSFS and Asobo what you should of done from the start is continue all this into MSFS2020 and made that spectacular. BUT NO you insisted to make this Grave mistake and now you have lost a lot of Trust. I will never trust you again.
Thank you, but as you can see in my screen shot there is no Textron aircraft. There are only 6 aircraft, they are all visible in the screen shot. There is no scrollbar.
I saw your earlier posts, so I know your issues are bigger than this, but you might be interested to know that I tried to fly an analog aircraft for you yesterday to see if it was viable.
This is what I found:
Granted, I only tested the C172 “Classic” and the Beaver, but it isn’t out of line to expect that this issue isn’t going to be unique to them.
I only have 2024 Standard, Deluxe and Premium content installed — nothing else, not even the Aviator Edition 2020 aircraft. I have nothing in my Community folder.
I still “want” to check the C152 and the Robin, but I tire of playing the role of a school teacher with a red pencil marking up a poorly done assignment.
