They are all done, most of them twice. There are 14 suspects, there are 2 guilty parties. And I have no idea why they didn’t count, but they are in the book. I would be happy to share the folder and screenshots, but it won’t help the matter. The choice is refly all 14 in a sim with no mods, wait for a way to see which ones have been completed, or not waste 30 hours on things I’ve already done and leave that one.
Every simulator takes a little leap of imagination right? I’ll just believe the achievement is done, like those folks who like the new hilarious billboard-sized taxiway signs take an imagination leap to believe its realistic and not absolutely silly, lol
Did you use custom liveries on any of the airplanes? Like maybe on 2 of 14?
I was very strict about approaching this achievement:
- no liveries
- no mods
- no custom anything but scenery
- no time compression
- true to life difficulty (even if it wasn’t necessary)
I created my own little chart to keep track of ones that are finished and I’ve double and triple confirmed that my logbook shows all 20 aircraft with 300nm cross-countries.
I had a suspicion that maybe an update wasn’t counting some, or something after an update that I did was disqualifying. Because I was sure I only wanted to do a 300nm xctry once in certain planes, I did before and after checks confirming the zlin, cap10, cadet, extra, icon, ctsl and 152 were definitely completed. I’m equally sure I’ve completed the rest, but there is a small chance I could have hit time compression or flew with developer mode on (I’ve created a few sceneries and messed with a few planes). Out of the rest, other than the C172 every single one of them I fly with modifications (before and after, not during achievement hunting) and do go back to stock to get the rest isn’t worth another 30 hours of stock aircraft. I use addons_linker so when I do “stock runs” my community folder is legitimately empty before starting up. I wonder if skypark or the FSE plugin or little nav map could reject the achievement?
I do appreciate your help in troubleshooting, I’m confident I’ve covered my bases but I’m never opposed to another set of eyes and ideas. Thank you
I was coming here in hopes that the modders and fantastic developers here may have had a look into how achievements were registered and if someone had found a way to confirm which ones were finished. A little notepad++ viewable file somewhere that said “true” or “false” on which planes are finished would be perfect!
Ah, so this could be potential cause?
Yeah, it would be great to be able to see which plane counted. The only way for now is going to Steam achievement page right after each flight and confirm the number changed (I think it was moving 5% for each plane). I’m sure the progress is saved somewhere within game files, but I doubt someone knows where.

After much effort I managed to get every achievement except for the 4 long running ones, Decathlon, Journeyman, Wing Commander and Word Traveler.
World Traveler is still very buggy, just doesn’t register every successful landing on a new airport. Even if the logbook shows a landing = 1, it is often not registered as new airport.
The number of different airports landed at in the pilot profile corresponds to the percentage in the achievements list, only, the number is way to low. Sometimes only 1 out 4 airports ist counted.
Does anybody know, how to register a new airport every time? Any procedures to be followed here?
I don’t want to land at 2000+ airports to get this done.
How did you do it? I have completed all the achievements bar World Traveller (which is very bugged) and this one. All the landing activities and Bush trips have been done - so any tips on how to get to Decathlon would be great.
Simply do all weekly activities, one by one. They appear in the main menu and it’s much less the 1 per week, maybe 1 every 2-3 weeks.
I’m a 70% right now, meaning I’ve finished 7 “weekly” activities, 3 more to go, will take me probably another 2 months.

Yep, correct.
I’ve done all the weekly activities since launch, and I think the Japan world update discovery flight could be completed twice due to an extra patch that came out after it.
It will just take a while, and seeing that we’re on monthly patches now, it might take quite long indeed.
In regards to Job Shadowing…
I’ve tried several times. Live weather and traffic All options in the Assistance Options page are Off or set to the hardest setting. I don’t touch the flightplan after it’s set - it’s just airport to airport. I use the autopilot to get to the destination, then use the manually put in the frequency for an ILS on autopilot (crappy weather). No achievement.
Does the autopilot count as assistance? They need to be specific as to what assistance means. Does ATC count as assistance?
No, autopilot and ATC do not count as assistance.
In this case, the achievement is broken. I always fly under these conditions. The only “assistance” I use is ATC and Autopilot.
I think “Start Me Up” is bugged. I just started the A320 with nothing other than the checklist, and nada. No achievement.
Base Sim plane and vanilla livery?
Well, nertz. Base plane, yes. United livery.
Liveries generally block achievements.

Well, United should send me something, then, because I made it from PHX to DEN on time.
Maybe that was what confused MSFS.
Tried it with the vanilla livery.
Still a no-go. Didn’t even use the checklist this time.
Would asking your co-pilot to control the radio disallow an achievement?
I’m going to try to get the Frequent Flyer achievement out of the way, which involves a 10 hour plus flight from LFBD to KSEA and was wondering whether to turn ATC off altogether or whether i could get away with leaving the co-pilot to do the frequency changes etc.
I’m not sure I’ll be able to sit at the controls for over 10 hours and i might miss a repeated request to change frequency.
If i were to disable ATC altogether, i could just climb to my final cruising altitude at my own convenience, manage my own descent and land when i get to the destination without having to worry about ATC.
Update:
For anyone that might be interested in doing the Frequent Flyer achievement, you can apparently get away with having your co-pilot managing comms and still get the achievement.
I’m not sure I would have done it again though, if the achievement hadn’t been granted.
