  1. **When starting up the sim, “Activating Packages” takes 20+ minutes. **

  2. Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue? Yes

Current load time on my PC is ~2 minutes or less.

Partial Specs & current settings:
Build: v1.1.7.0
Hardware: i7-12700K (No overclocking or undervolting), 32 GB 5200 MHz DDR5 CL40, Intel Arc 770 (16GB, v32.0.101.6299).
Network: ISP: Starlink, Azure Speedtest 2.0 - West US 2 59ms, Speedtest.net: ~150 Mbps.
MSFS Version: MS-Store, Premium Deluxe.
3rd-Party Addons: None, Community Addons: None

If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:

It stops twice for me. First time at 7% - Loading Language, for 2 minutes

Then on 9% to 19% - Activating packages - for 10 minutes

it takes forever. By the times its done loading the packages, ive already programed the fenix a320 and already reached cruise in 2020 haha

• Yes, every startup takes approximately 30 minutes.

• Download speed (while game is starting up) 755 Mbps, upload 470 Mbps

• The start up % is not at 17, been looking at the screen for 20 solid minutes.

Hi folks,

Can you try rebooting your PC and seeing if that helps? When I first launched the sim this morning, it took about ~30 minutes to load to the main menu. After a reboot a few moments ago, my next launch took only ~2 minutes to get to the menu. I experienced the same thing yesterday too.

Unfortunately, that doesn’t help.

Voting on this one as well. I’m in Canada, on the US West servers. Installed yesterday, have probably launched the sim 10-20 times now, with system shut downs or reboots in between, makes no difference.

Activating Packages consistently takes 15+ minutes.

1000 MBPS connection and empty Community folder

This has to be fixed ASAP with high priority, this makes the sim completely unusable. People have spent tons of money, e.g. 230€ to not be able to use it! For me it is inacceptable that this is not fixed yet, 3 days after the release!

In the last 4 days every time I start the simulator the activation of the packages takes at least 90 minutes. Reception ranges from 0 to 8 kbs. Northern Italy (Venice) Community folder empty!!

I have same issue.

It takes me no less than 35 minutes everytime to get into the game. Xbox app shows i have 17 hours play time but flight log shows 2 hours, so most of the time is spent waiting for it to get in.

My friend who has a much outdated PC compared to mine is able to get into the game in 7 minutes or less, i don’t understand.

I am actually waiting for the game while i type this, so far 13% after 17 minutes.

My community folder is empty.

I am in Brazil, the game is installed in an external ssd.

On Steam.

I can say with certainty based on what I’m seeing here and in other threads it has nothing to do with your PC hardware or Internet connection speeds

Has to be something on MS end or how the client is communicating

I am also having this long load time. The status at the bottom left of the screen says “16% - VFS Activating packages”. This has got to be fixed!
