I am sure a fair few of you also run with this, but for those that don’t and who are looking for an additional dynamic feel in the sims, I hope this may be of some assistance.
Here’s what I run with that really adds to the “feel” of flying through dynamic air (not to coin a phrase)
- FS Realistic Pro – (2020/24) - good for adding dynamic wind sounds, airport ambience, ground level turbulence, cockpit shaking, and a whole load more
- RealTurb Cat (2020/24) – adding turbulence that one would feel in clouds, when flying over raised terrain, etc. This is brilliant.
- ChasePlane – (2020 only at this juncture) – internal/external camera tweaks (extensive)
These three in 2020, or two in 2024, work together especially well and, at least in my opinion, really enhances the general feel in the sim. All three are paid mods, btw.
Anyhow, if you feel that, in some way, your flying feels a little bit like “being on rails” and that the feel of flying feels a little sanitized, this combo totally changes that.
