DC-3 Seems to be taking forever! Has it been cancelled?
The wwise sound set is being developed for it at the moment.
I really wish they’d get the Electra up to their usual quality standard before releasing something new

Same here. I will watch reviews very closely if the DC-3 appears eventually. I rather wait for a product from another company than to purchase something like the train wreck electra.

So, um. DC 3. Did it ever happen? As an XBox user, it’s sometimes difficult to tell.
No, it is waiting for its proper sound set according to AH.
AH told told me that they hoped the DC-3 Would be out by the end of March '22!

Awesome news
Really hoping it has some decent sounds. Their last two releases have been extremely weak in the sound department, though they did say they employed a sound studio for this, so hopefully that means they are giving it more attention than their other releases.

Given what was the Electra compared to something like the PMDG DC-6 where I discovered that those old liners were certainly FAR more complicated to operate than some big engines sloppy-like oversized GA-feeling aircrafts that a lot of my past experience was with these kind of addons, I’m certainly not holding my breath…
Time will tell, but one has to remain cautious.

Yes, I know , I am one of the bunch that got refunded for the Electra and I’m not expecting DC-6 level of details but hoping it’ll be enough to enjoy for a few flights. I can’t remember the tv show but I wanted to fly this plane ever since …especially in VR. It was a show from Alaska, or Yukon, or western Canada. I can’t remember hehe. All I remember is it was cold and that the DC-3 looked primitively amazing.

The show is called ICE PILOTS NWA and is about Buffalo Air at Yellowknife. I think they had 6 seasons.

It would be awesome if they had taken a little more care with their previous planes.
They’ve been shoveling them out at a tremendous rate lately and none of them have been any good considering the price tag.
Sure most of them look nice, but when it comes to sounds, flight models and systems they were all below Carenado quality and Carenado cost about 25-30% less.
Also their recent record when it comes to public relations and customer support has been quite sketchy. Since the Facebook debacle with the first Spitfire release (which they pulled in a huff) and the still botched Electra I have become extremely weary of AH
What is worst: some of their planes - like the DC-3 - where award-winning masterpieces in previous sims but they seem to have changed their business model catering to a crowd who prefer visuals over substance and make a quick buck with substandard and unfinished products. An ailment common to several 3rd party devs recently I noticed …
It’s a really disturbing development for me if I have to lift Carenado above AH and Aerosoft. Opposite world.
So unless I see a decent review from a trusted source for the DC-3, it’s a pass for me - even though I’d really really love to have a DC-3

The DC-3 will be interesting.
I imagine it will be out on AH & Orbx before the marketplace as the latter appears to have many hoops to jump through.
If it releases ‘not perfect’ & the code is accessible then I imagine the tweakers will start refining if AH is disinclined too.
Although, having taken the burden of updating their FSX/P3D catalog out of the equation, they may have the time & resource to refine the DC-3 themselves.
