The aircrat runs better with 1.0.14 patch.
In some buttons like HDG or BARO you have to right click on center button and then left click.
Still is a little bit Hard to Take off or fly manually.
But the button/ screen bugs are solved.
I have the same issue, drives me nuts. Would also like to know if there’s a work around…
The CRJ does not use default keybinds, as almost every complex AddOn, it uses SimVarrs/LVARS. Only way to configure your panels/harrdware is to use Spad.Next or Axis and Ohs or similar.
I use spad next for my Saitek panels and everything works, but as said, it needs programming the variables, no default keybinds.
Thanks guys, I will purchase then, it looks great.
The trick is to click both mouse buttons at the same time, the icon will than change from a turning arrow into a little hand and allows you to press the button/switch instead.
So do the CRJ 700 pilot devotees like the 900 over it in terms of handling and dynamics ? What’s the verdict? Just curious.
I ask because i know the CRJ 700 fans are hard to stir away from it.
Speaking sim wise of course.
The 700 has more “sporty” handling characteristics compared to the 900. Its max takeoff weight is almost 10,000 pounds less, and can use a takeoff runway 1000 feet shorter than the 900. The 700 is 12 feet shorter and 5 feet narrower (wingspan) than the 900, so it is easier to maneuver on the ground - especially at smaller regional airport ramps typically served by CRJs.
At this moment (15:50Z 16 November), FlightAware is tracking 73 CRJ-700s in flight vs. 121 CRJ-900s, so the 900 is more widely used, but there are still plenty of 700s in the air.
It also depends on expected passenger loads. An airliner is most profitable to operate when as many seats as possible are filled on a given flight. If a smaller airport cannot reliably generate enough passengers to fill a 900, but can for a 700, the 700 would be a better choice.
Nice breakdown.
What’s the minimum runway length for the 700? I know the 900 is 4500 ft am i right?
Maybe this will interest you: https://www.smartcockpit.com/plane/BOMBARDIER/CRJ-700-900-SERIES.html
I’ve only flown one flight in the 900 so far, but I’ve flown many in the 700. My first flight in the 900 included the best landing I’ve ever made in the CRJ. I find the pitch (elevator) axis to be very sensitive in the 700, and it makes small adjustments during final approach very difficult. It’s very easy to overcorrect. The 900 is less sensitive in pitch. I was able to make small adjustments on short final and during the flare. On the other hand, the heavier weight makes the 900 slower to climb to cruise. I would say overall, I prefer the 900 right now.
Noticed that as well, i’m in your boat. Love the way the 900 flies. I got complimented on a discord live stream ( i do it once in a while) twice so far on a landing with the 900. Another person on the stream said the same thing as well, that he’s been flying the 900 more and he loves it.
AFAIK 4500 feet is the absolute minimum runway length for a lightly loaded CRJ of either model. A fully loaded 700 at ISA temperature and pressure at sea level requires at least 5,265 feet, while a 900 requires 6,380 feet.
It is worth noting, if you want to be authentic, that US regional airlines fly the CRJ 900 but NOT the 1000 as the CRJ 1000 is too heavy to comply with the limitations set by the US Regional Scope Clause . The scope clause is the only reason the CRJ 550 exists at all.
Cool info. Poor 550 ![]()
I didn’t know that. Good info!
So who does fly the 1000? (Besides Lufthansa, which appears to fly every plane known to mankind…)
France, Spain and Indonesia mainly, a few in Ireland and a couple flying out of Malta …
It would seem so - they possibly had one for evaluation painted in their livery ? or may be adding them to their fleet ? no idea
This is their current fleet list as at October '21
Thanks for that list. Doubt they will be adding any 1000s, since they seem to suffice in their European routes with the 31 CRJ- 900 they have. Who knows.
The 1000 would also duplicate the general abilities of the Embrarer 19Xs that they have. Maybe they’ll add some 1000s if they start retiring the Embrarers…
