Aerosoft CRJ Series

Oh yeah looking forward to that debate

I have a soft spot for the CRJ as I work on them as a mechanic and avionics specialist, and I have been a tester and semi-consultant on the P3D version. I believe the MSFS version will have about the same level of systems emulation as the P3D version, and while that one doesn’t simulate all r/w systems, it would be head and shoulders above any of the current default airliners.

I really enjoy flying the CRJ specifically because it does not have as much automation as newer aircraft. The r/w CRJ has no autothrottle any very limited VNAV capability so it is more challenging to fly. And, it is well suited to shorter 1 or 2 hour flights.

Beautiful! Although I think the cabin structure could be seen a little more ā€œdirtyā€, like coffee stain or minor scratches

Such a tease! Alexander Metzger is doing the flight dynamics, this is going to be an instant buy for me.

Hmm yes that might be true sadly but does there even exist any better (more study level version) of the CRJ. I only know the Aerosoft one from all the other sims.

Maybe they even increase the system depth for the new sim. I would hightly appreciate it if Aerosoft uses this chance to create a study level CRJ. Let’s see. At least the mentinoned that it will be a comply rework and not copy of the P3D version.

Sorry, but I will be the instantiest of all…

Take my money! Favorite jet size… Fun for quick regional hops.

Good to hear the quote by the Aerosoft CEO:

"Graphically this is really a step beyond what P3D V5 can do. Not only in speed (measured in polygons per second shown) but the shading and lighting are on par with the best games at this moment. We REALLY want to use every option there is.

But as Hans shown, we still need some love from Asobo to solve problems. But many (many!) issues have been solved in talking to them. The people at Asobo are really amazing and we are sure they will make our release using all the options the new sim has to offer possible."

This will likely be the first aircraft I buy, looks good so far

If only we would have a decent AI traffic by that time…

My son is a pilot and flies those, so I’m really excited to get it and pretend I know what he’s doing.

day one purchase for me this looks stunning

Interesting. Only thing I don’t like from the video shown in that link are the reflections on the screens… Very low res. I do hope those are real time reflections and not paintings on the glass. But anyway, what I wanted to ask: I don’t really know this plane (sorry) and wonder how it is compared to the Dash 8 Q400. Is it in the same class…? Similar operation and so on? I am DYING for a Q400 in MSFS but this might be a nice alternative (if it gets released sooner than a Q400).

Sounds and looks good. Let“s hope we will get a proper working airplane soon

Hey Pilots,

found this on Twitter!
