you can remove the trim sound right now if it’s too annoying. Just delete one row in AS_Aircraft_DHC6_Common\sound\sound.xml
That is very helpful thank you. I will fly there when I get a little time at the weekend ![]()
You know, 1186 posts in this thread, of which I’ve read all, and not a single one about this “twin otter baby”. Not even a photo.
All I keep reading about is some airplane.
Wow! Isn’t that just stunning. A little piece of heaven on Earth. Thanks for sharing
Yes!
Literally laughing out loud, something I am not often one to do!
I’ll take the white one, seems to have a more balanced temperament ![]()
I tried to attach the xml file but I got a message that it was not allowed. I am not sure what you meant to delete…“delete one row”???
The baby is still in kindergarden.
Cannot get the PMS 530 to work in the otter.
Want to create a flightplan directly in the 530 in the plane.
No flightplan made in world map.
Start by entering a direct to airport. Then trying to enter a en route waypoint but no matter what it will not register.
Only if I enter a departure and arrival in the world map will accept enroute waypoints.
Am I missing something?
PS cannot get the cursor in map mode to work either.
Just downloaded latest mod on github and put in community folder to make sure I had the latest version.
Would go over to Jankees' paintwork and ask Jan! He makes beautiful liveries, second to none.
I’ve never done a direct-to and then tried to add enroute waypoints. Why not just enter the whole route from departure airport to arrival airport? That definitely works.
Thanks for the response. Got the direct to from a YT tutorial. Have not found a way of entering a “normal” flightplan with departure and arrival and enroute directly.
Probably right that is the problem but in the tutorial it did work.
Being a tenacious kind of person I will try and start a wholy new flightplan, but so fat I have not managed to enter departure/arrival.
Go to the FPL page, then simply use the control knob to enter the name of each waypoint, starting with the ICAO code of your departure airport. Continue until you’ve entered the destination airport.
Also if you’re using the modded GNS530 you can create a plan in Little Nav Map and just import it into the 530. Instructions for doing so are on the Github page for the mod.
Thank you will try an give it a go this morning.
The little Navmap route is not for me, as I try and do things as in real life if possible.
I imagine that IRL pilots prepare the route at home and then write the waypoints down and once in the plane manually enter them in gtn530. That is how Iinagine it happen at least. Have never really seen this aspect delt with.
If anyone have other info i would like to hear it.
PS I appreciate that my questions are a detour from the twotter, and belongs in some other thread, sorry.
I’m pretty sure that’s a real life feature and you can load flight plans via an SD card or similar.
I guess you are right about the SD card feature, and the more convoluted the flightplan the more reason.
Anyway I managed to do the manual thing and it worked like a charm, but with these more basic Gps things you need to be ahead of the game an activate approach disconnect alt in order to get glide slooe capture at the right times.
Thanks to all for the input!
Wow…I’ve seen some video of that but had no idea.
