Started off the flight with a near 50 FPS, was at 50FPS for almost the entire duration of the flight.. upon arrival and passing below 10k feet is when the FPS started to drop significantly.. to below 20 and hard dips that caused me to basically be unable to land.. every time I moved the camera it froze and was impossible to move…
I don’t notice any FPS drops in the Aerosoft CRJ doing short flights though.. I could try the 747 on a short hop but that defeats it’s purpose lol..
Fps drop seems to be worse with the 787, probably due to its glass cockpit style.
Fps drop seems to be worse with flights coming out of London Heathrow.
Here’s a screenshot of my flight today out of EGLL. Top right of the sim shows my FPS. Only things I have running aside from the sim itself:
Pac X
Vatspy (not on vatsim though.. not for this flight lol)
FSUIPC7
Spad.neXt (for my sim panels)
so currently at 48-50 FPS. I’ll post again when on arrival into Pittsburgh to see if today is any different… very frustrated with my last flight lol.
I am having the same problems in the a320 neo. Flight from BDL to FLL. Frame rates are a slideshow after half the distance to FLL. Had to x out of msfs as it would have eventually frozen, zero frame rate.
I’m getting close to Canada at this point, and still holding steady at 50 FPS. Obviously some framerate drops here and there (had a large drop to 30 fps when I came over intense cloud coverage), but nothing abnormal. I’m not monitoring though in sim as it takes up so much space on the screen lol.
Hmm, it seems that EGLL is a contributing factor. I flew the 777-300ER from KLAX to YMML. It uses 747 systems and has a passenger cabin modeled, and I had no fps drop. Seems to be an issue with EGLL/London (partially, there is still another big issue like a memory leak in general though).
Yes
Had it in Windows 10 and in 11 also.
Also it has, for me nothing todo with the seetings regarding Traffic and ATC.
Out of 10 flights maybe 1 or 2 work without drop.
After last Sim Update, the drop is maybe a little less but after flying 1 or 2 hours the audio becomes distorted and crackling every time i change view.
For no i have given up MSFS and play New World instead.
I’m strictly GA, I don’t do mega long flights and don’t use any 3rd party nav aids so this is certainly a stab in the dark. But assuming it won’t throw off your flight plans a good test for a memory leak would be to save your flight, exit to windows and reboot your PC before reloading, let the sim settle and then start from the saved flight, if there was a leak it should immediately become apparent by a drastic improvement of fps. Of course this is likely to affect your fight logging but I figure if this has always been a problem then it’s already been messed up anyway.
This day I took flight with FBW A320 from HECA to LKPR. Flight Time was about 4 hours. During flight I gathered about 10 FPS degradation from standard frames, making approach and landing almost unplayable. After landing I have created new flight on the very same place… FPS went back. Only restart have helped, same story…
