Sometimes I can leave MSFS running overnight on a GPS FP, and it is fine the next morning – other times, I have gone from 40 FPS down to 10 FPS.
Maybe many only fly short flights, so do not see it as an issue ??
Is it a widespread issue ? would seem relatively simple if MSFS sent FPS data back to MS/Asobo – maybe it does already – what user really knows what data is being transferred.
I would be less concerned, if I thought my Data was helping to improve MSFS.
The one thing I have not tried is pulling the Network Plug, when the FPS is high, and seeing then what happens overtime …
I have experiencing the same mainly with FBW A320, especially during the begin of the descent till the end of the flight at the gate. The GPU usage get down from 100% at the beginning to 60% till the end of the long flight. I did every idea from alot of people supported me and appreciate their support, but no one of those ideas helped. It seems like a linear degradation with the time. Something like preventing the GPU usage to get to higher rates or something cumulating with the time…
It’s about time this issue was Resolved – it’s been there ever since the sim released, and so far, has not even made it into a Q&A, let alone been addressed ( as far as players have been informed)…
FYI It was also an issue in FSX, that while partially explained by the Aces team, , , could never be resolved.
Never had this issue before, but now I’ve experienced it with the SU7 Beta: perfect flight and then in an instant no fps anymore (dropped from 30-6). When in the menu the fps come back up to 30. So this must be a huge coding error!
Just managed to land with 4fps, absolutely ridiculous… then taxied to the gate, and literally the second I turn the engines off the fps are back! So this leads me to believe it’s either to do with the Engine logic, or and that wouldn’t surprise me, something to do with the FMS/MCDU as it auto resets the flight after engine turnoff.
This issue is not even mentioned in last Dev Update and now it’s not even on top-voted 24 bugs. What the… Asobo? We can’t fly longer flights than 30 minutes but nobody cares…
That’s probably because it’s not as widespread as you might think. I’ve never had this issue myself, of instance. That doesn’t mean I wouldn’t vote for this, but others might not.
Also, I have to ask this - does it happen with all aircraft in the sim? I know I’ve experienced it with the FBW’s A32NX… perhaps all planes with glass cockpits behave this way.
Hi all, I experienced a drop in frame rate once. I somehow solved the drop in frame rate by disabling the VFR map (unpinned it). Has anyone else done this and fixed the frame rate drop? not sure why the VFR map would cause frame rate to drop.
For reference I was flying the default a320neo with a spirit livery addon.
When my framerate drops, the VFR map makes no difference, Nothing I have tried to change, lower settings, etc does any good, apart from going back to the main menu, and starting a new flight.
