Subject says it all… Update went fine no errors. Now every time I launch the game it just crashes to desktop after the loading screens. This is ridiculous, every update has gotten worse for me. Any ideas?

Same here. Last patch i had no ctds anymore. Since this patch the game crash 9 of 10 times by loading the plane in the world.

Clean your Community folder and try again.
Known issue, if you use the search function you’ll notice.
Seems to be related to peripherals and Asobo is already working on it.
How did this even get out the door. How can they be this bad at regression testing?! This makes no sense…

Mine crashes too. What a POS. Embarrassingly amature.
I have managed to get mine working again by unplugging all controllers and plugging them in 1 by 1 after the game has launched. I previously had them all going through a USB hub but now are plugged in directly.

Anyone get this to work on the Steam edition? I don’t have these files, and using Filemon and watching all the files MSFS touches on load still not seeing it.

I agree, they do not appear to doing proper testing . A patch 5a is for sure needed. This was pretty serious flaw. I did a reset to see if it fixes it. Everything else I saw including this post did not work.
Same here. CTD every time. this people are mad making bad updates. they need to try the product before launch it
I have saitek pedals, yoke, panels, quadrant all going through a powered USB hub managed by SpadNext. no problems at all.
I dont move anything about. leave everything as default.

@RadiatedFan5468 Curious how it goes… Might want to also blow away anything related to Microsoft Flight Simulator in your user profile (local and roaming). There may be a settings file in there causing it. Another user on another thread said re-installing it didn’t fix it. This is ridiculous…
I have very fast internet so 95GB does not take long. I did do a reset before, we will see. system restore before update 5 did not fix it
well it works until the CH rudder is plugged in. So I rearranged things and it is still working. I am restoring the files I backed up since I did a reinstall and that did not work. The question is there is no reason this won’t break again. I hope to see a patch 5a out very soon.
BTW it did stop working again so deleted everything and installing it again. P3D 5.1 just got released so I will install that since this not likely to work again. I almost wish I never purchased FS 2020, but I like the app now so would be nice to see it working someday
They really need a good size beta program, I would do it since I have this installed on the laptop as well. It really is the best way to find issues because of the variable setups everyone has. Every patch seems to have noting but issues.
