So I’m noticing that I’m getting some liveries at airports that I know have the isAirTraffic set to 0 in their aircraft.cfg files, specifically indiafoxtecho’s T45C. This seems to be a new thing and I can’t figure out how to disable that (after all, seeing a bunch of military jets at gates at commercial airports seems unrealistic). Anyone else noticing this?
Yes, it was that way for me even before the update if Use Generic Aircraft is turned off. Turning that on, however, caused all kinds of CTD’s for me, though, so I had to turn it off. So now I get Bleriot’s and Corsairs and sunken P-40’s all over the place. I can land at Nantucket and see 6 Bleriot XI’s parked around the airport. It’s quite annoying.
I’m imagining I was getting CTD’s with Use Generic Aircraft from poorly created liveries, so I’ve been going through them and making them consistent with the latest rules I’m aware of, but I have a ways to go to get through them all. And even then, I don’t know if I know perfectly the correct setup of a livery for MSFS to really use it. Things have changed so much since August. I need to go through their SDK example they just released with a fine tooth comb to make sure I have all the options set correctly in aircraft.cfg files and everything else that matters.
See, that seems odd to me. I would have thought that setting the isAirTraffic set to 0 in their aircraft.cfg would override that global setting in Traffic. Interestingly when I set Use Generic Aircraft to off then I don’t see. for example, lots of Grumman Geese at the airport (yay), but I’m still seeing the T45C’s. Something is definitely odd here.
But as a major wishlist, I think it would be great if Asobo had some flag that allowed specification of what liveries are allowed at given airports for AI traffic. I shouldn’t be seeing international liveries at a regional airport.
