Well I guess you want too the panel back, as you will be able to disable it, ans us enable it! I guess that’s what you mean right?
Just an Idea…I don’t have a PC. Maybe check if your Keyboard provides a Shortkey for enabling cursor mode. Set a key to it. Create a Flight from a to b with Citiation. Once you are in the Air, press the key and see if the plane changes course.
Sadly, I tried that already this morning and it’s not working in PC. my guess is it’s a feature exclusive to gamebox… But there is some hope as they are aware of our problem…
Well at least there is hope. Thankyou for the update. With me being a little mobility impaired thanks to a mini stroke and my eyesight not good anymore even with all its faults the ai co pilot was a Godsend sometimes.
If it does come back to MSFS2024 along with the assistance tab showing airports closest to you/ points of interest/cities then maybe i can start using MSFS2024 for proper flying but they need to fix a ton of things first as its a mess. If they don’t bring them back to the new sim then ill only use MSFS2024 for career mode and discovery flights while ill keep doing proper flights in MSFS2020.
Really hoping though they bring it back to MFS2024 though.
I hope they bring back the copilot in 2024 and make it available in career. Can’t play career at all right now, no sight.
I cant even start career mode yet. Like i said its a mess at the moment
we will win this. I know it! Don’t give up hope!
If it was so easy for a player to figure out a workaround, why the heck…
…was it ever removed
and
…it can’t easily be put back in
I am really beginning to wonder what the heck is going on at Asobo.
Why is this on Wishlist? This should be a bug, a fairly significant bug. The Alt+c keybinding is not working. “Not working” is a bug, not a wish or hope that it might be added someday.
How about writing the bug as “every time I use Alt+c the aircraft crashes in a short amount of time.”
EVERY keybind action when mapped should work correctly. If it doesn’t, then it is a bug.
Yes, my thoughts exactly. With support’s response above saying that they removed it, they only removed it halfway. Why is it still available on xbox when in curser mode? That implies the feature is there, just not fully ported over to 2024.
Granted, the copilot has some bugs in 2020 that I wish were improved upon. One big one for me is levelling out at least a thousand feet before your cruise level, causing ATC to tell you to climb to cruise for the whole flight. I also wish that it would honor the AI radio setting in settings. I’d like to use the copilot, but also SayIntentions.AI ATC, and I can’t when the copilot changes comms to reflect the in-game ATC, even when the ATC voices are off.
I’d be interested to learn more about your virtual airline.
Why did they remove the ai piloting feature/function? In my humble opinion it’s one of the best functions in msfs 2020.

• It is absolutely impossible to hand over control to the co-pilot. I press ALT-C and my plane does not take off from the runway. Is it possible to fix this? Thanks.

I’ve had to issue the following statement as owner of my own disability awareness company. It’s sort of an open letter to MS and Asobo:
Regarding MSFS 2024, Eclipse Airways, New Dawn Media Arts. Our stance and next steps
Thank you for your support of New Dawn Media Arts Group, including our partners and subsidiaries. Over the past 18 years, we have been working tirelessly to raise awareness for people with disabilities via various media. In that time, we have grown to 60+ staff from around the world who are passionate about helping people with disabilities. In particular, our project, Eclipse Airways has been very successful. With a total of 12,000 flight hours logged across the various tracking platforms that we use and over 2,000 passengers served, we could not be happier or more proud of what we’ve accomplished in the last two years with our virtual airline. I once again thank you for your continued support of Eclipse Airways. That being said, we were very excited about the announcement and launch of the next generation of Microsoft Flight Simulator, MSFS 2024. However, apart from the launch being a total disaster, we are devastated to learn that the AI Copilot feature was removed from the new sim. We do not have the money, physical space or for most of us, the physical ability to use sim gear to fly our planes in the standard way. We rely on AI Copilot to fly our aircraft once we set up flights. Removal of such a system will confine us and many others in flight simulation community to continue using the 2020 sim until it reaches end of life status in 2028. After which, if AI copilot is not added back, Eclipse Airways operations would immediately cease, I would be forced to end my vtuber activities and New Dawn Media Arts Group would have to close due to loss of funding/income and the accumulation of debt as a result. For now though, we will continue our virtual passenger services for the disabled and the severely ill Twitch streams using the 2020 while we continue to fight for the AI copilot feature to return in the 2024 and future sims
Thank you.

Update: there seems to be a temp mod but I don’t think it works for anything but the Cesena, I’m not touching 2024 until we get a permanent solution so I would not mark this issue solved. I would like anyone to test and report results in a reply, though.
The ai co-pilot was in the cursor mode in msfs 2020 and is not available in cursor mode for msfs 2024 nor does the key binding work for the xbox version nor the pc version.
Hiya,
Yes same here doesn’t work it throttles down and doesn’t steer but I haven’t tried it on the Cesena
that’s bad but I expected as much
