This MScenery “Enhanced” addon (which is, of course, a perfect 5 star rating already) clearly has AI screenshots (again.) I know it hasn’t been that long since the last one, but this is a really bad look
While it’s mostly the clouds that appear to be AI rendered/“enhanced”, it still feels like false advertising as it’s likely the entire image was touched by AI.
Not posting this to just be negative, but wanting to call it out nonetheless as it’s a relatively new phenomenon to contend with when shopping for addons. Hopefully there’s a conversation being had internally about this at the least.
I copied these screenshots on an HDR monitor so they may not really convey just how AI these clouds are. It clearly started as a real screenshot and then AI had its way with it.
Now they aren’t even showing cockpit screenshots.
And Microsoft is perfectly OK with AI being used for marketplace product pages and the fake ratings!
Yeah, this is just embarrassing for Microsoft. They’re happy to curate addon releases for the PS5, but clearly don’t care about their own Xbox customers being duped.
No they don’t care, we all know it’s cheap and nasty they like because it makes tons of money. That’s their unashamedly stated marketing strategy. There’s even a marketing video about it encouraging devs to price aircraft at the lower price range so they sell tons of them.
Since we’ve had zero response about the last AI rendered pics, I doubt us highlighting this one will have any impact.
I have lost all hope now about MS marketing integrity.
Its only a matter of time before the ■■■■■■■■ spreads to ps5 as well.
I think the difference is Sony have standards, I believe that’s why they’re making the effort for that platform.
again scam add-ons !!! when gonna stop this …
The clouds certainly don’t look like that in game on any settings.
Question to the CM team - you mentioned that this issue had been escalated to the appropriate responsible party weeks ago. What’s the status? I’m sure they’ve responded, right? If not, have you followed up?
Do they? I guess only time will tell.
They’ve tolerated mscenery for years now, why are they going to charge?
Jorg stated this that Sony’s criteria were stricter. So let us hope it has some influence over the quality in the sim.
If you want your clouds to look as beautiful as they appear on the screen shots, maybe you simply have to buy their “Enhanced MS Clouds Ultra Uber Next Add-On”

Hahah. Only $4.99 per cloud. Special offer.
Not that I buy anything from the Marketplace, for this and many other reasons, but, I so wish there was a way to set an option to never see particular authors.
Hello @FlyingsCool5650,
The option to filter certain add-on developers so they don’t appear in the Marketplace for you already exists:

tbh, it should be the other way around. Show everything default, and tick the ones you want ignored, not having to tick everything, and remove the ones you don’t want.
Hello @MortThe2nd,
That is how it works. In the sample screenshot I posted above, all the creators are selected by default. I manually unchecked Mscenery to hide products from this developer.
Thanks,
