AI Traffic Touches Down way too late, has unrealistic braking efficacy

4 SU’s a year is pretty darn impressive. More updates in one year than other ‘competitors’ put out in 3/4.

So if the final SU12 is going live in a few days, is the expectation that AI traffic landings will remain broken?

This is not currently going to make it in a fix for next week’s release, but is being investigated for a fix in a future build.

Thanks for the info Jayne.

very bad news, the problem occurred from day one of the SU12 beta.
Hope the fix will come as fast as possible.

Appreciate the response.

I had this problem before su12 beta in certain airports.

I just hope they don’t break things they improved when beta release

I just installed SU12 and this is still a problem. I am using FSLTL btw.

Correct. Per their discord this was not fixed for SU12.

Per the updates earlier in this thread, Asobo confirmed they were unable to fix this new issue in time for the full release of SU12. Asobo has not provided an ETA either.
This is not a FSLTL issue.

Are you using Developer Mode or made changes in it?
No, but have the same bug if the Developer mode is on or off.

Have you disabled/removed all your mods and addons?
Yes, but have the same bug if the Community folder is empty or not…

Brief description of the issue:

In SU11, airliners would land within the first 1000 feet of the runway. In SU12 most airliners land halfway down the runway or run out of room and touch and go instead of landing. This bug was first reported during the SU12 beta and was not corrected in the SU12 release.

I do not know if this bug is related to other issues in SU12 such as MSFS live traffic sometimes providing only a few thousand feet between landing airliners, airliners outside the airport grounds traveling below stall speed at about 400 feet AGL., or ATC giving cleared for takeoff to the same runway where an airliner is within a few thousand feet from landing on the runway.

Provide Screenshot(s)/video(s) of the issue encountered:

Detailed steps to reproduce the issue encountered:

Go to a major airport like KSFO. Use the drone camera to watch airliners landing.

PC specs and/or peripheral set up if relevant:

This is one of the most annoying bug that need hot fix as issue with the water polygone exclusion not working anymore

It’s kind of a shame. MSFS2002 did, MSFS2004 did, MSFS X was fine with traffic too, and Prepar3D had no traffic problems. Asobo has perpetual problems. Wouldn’t it be better to use your brain? You just spit on us users with your behavior.

Why was @AviatorCSnet 's bug report merged back into the SU12 Beta forum? Shouldn’t this be in the regular bug forum since SU12 is live now? I also have this issue and am not currently enrolled in the beta.

Yes, this is no longer a SU12 Beta bug. It is a SU12 release bug.

A very annoying issue, especially in major airports. Just did some plane spotting at RJTT. Despite a few 737/320 can make successful landings even when touching down about half the total runway lenght, heaviest aircraft will go around as soon as they touch the ground, since the AI logic system is detecting they need way more space to stop according also to real life flight tracking. In essence, in other airports full of heavies like OMDB, RJAA or OTHH you won’t get any AI traffic landings. Looking forward to an hotfix asap.
