If it makes you feel any better while waiting until this is fixed, for every airliner landing, picture an experienced pilot standing in the cockpit behind a rookie pilot, both trying to control the rate of descent. The rookie pilot keeps pulling back on the yoke while the experienced pilot is trying to correct this. The rookie pilot is whoever at Asobo broke AI landings in SU12 and the experienced pilot is the AIFlow/AIGround developer.
Yep, itās not perfect by any means but once Asobo get some stability with AI, I think both will become extremely useful in patching up the holes. Until at least, this rumoured overhaul of the AI/ATC comes into play.
For AI IMO being able to force departure runways and allowing aircraft to cross active runways will pretty much solve most if not all of AI airport issues. After that any fixes for stuck or AI timing out and then I think AI will be golden for airports.
Iām kinda hoping AIFlow can do this.
Iāve just landed on 26L at Gatwick, with it in use on the ATIS and AIFlow forcing landing on 26L. Imagine my surprise when I turned off the runway to see AI traffic taxiing out to 08R. Imagine my further surprise when AI traffic also taxied to 26L and they were taking off towards each other.
What a blinkin mess.
Past versions for the other previous simulators had the ability to force departure runways. You could list up to 3-4 airports and specify the configuration you wanted. Although limited to around 2 airports, you could set pretty much every scenario you wanted.
Interesting, Iāve tested at Gatwick and didnāt have this. What lines do you have in your ini file?
Also, as the instructions advise, you do also need AIGround running at the same time.

Yes. 20,000 characters
Yeah, thanks for the suggestion but itās not that. Everything was as it should be with AIGround running.
What causes it is when the wind could favour either runway, FS doesnāt seem to be able to pick one so just goes nuts and uses everything. It was using 26L for landing because thatās what AIFlow was forcing but departures were a total free-for-all. Thatās using Live Weather obviously.
Itās a total dogs dinner.
Hello,
Thanks for your setting data. Unfortunately it doesnāt work properly here (FSLTL). For example, if I set
AIForceLandingRunway=LEBL,24R
AIForceLandingRunway=LOWW,11
The planes land but then immediately disappear or decelerate to zero and block the runway. Do you also observe this? Thanksā¦
Hey Guys, is it possible to force takeoff runways? Just asking because of EDDF. Here, runway 18 is only for takeoffs.
Thanks!
Kind regards
Andy
Thanks! And is it possible to tweak the takeoff-distance somehow? With AIGround the planes takeoff like a rocket.
You can set the AITAKEOFFTARGETTIME. But it just lets the plane rest for the time at the runway and then takeoff like a rocket.
So if I set AITAKEOFFTARGETTIME= 40, the plane stands 40s on the runway, and then departs like a rocket.
Thanks!
Cheers
Andy
In AIGround I have
AILandingTargetTime 12 and AITakeoffTargetTime 25
this works pretty well with FSLTL !
make sure AILandingTargetTime is on and low (<15) when using AIFlows forced landing.
from the manual:
["takeoff roll target time includes the time necessary for a stabilized climb to gear reduction altitude
at a consistent climb-out speed. Default values for climb-out speeds are 180 kts for jets, 150 kts for
turbo-props, and 90 kts for GA props]
[āWhen AIForceLandingRunway is enabled, AIGround must be running at the same time
with its AILandingTargetTime option enabled preferably to a low value (e.g., AILandingTargetTime=8). If
this is not done, the landing AI will not perform a perform a landing rollout after touching down. Rather,
they will tend to touch and go sometimes veering off the runway!ā]
There does not seem to be a setting for that at the moment but it would be nice to have.
Can anyone help me, i just want to force taxi speed to 5-10kts, but still they go 15kts. I dont want AIground to control anything else, just taxi speeds from parking spot to runway. Im checking is the latest SU15beta bug fixable with slower taxi speeds.
@CptPiett8113 are using AIflow and AIground still? Did you notice, with the latest update with AIground, you can force ai planes to taxi to runway you like. So in theory, you would force ai planes to depart from 21L and with AIflow ai planes land on 21R.
But i cant get it working, my ai planes just stay on parking place and dissapear on a while. Using stock AIflow and AIground settings.
Is there a way to disable all of the other features in AI Ground and only leave the taxi out limiter enabled?
I LOVE that feature but really donāt need any of the others. I have tried to modify the .ini but it still seems like some or all of the other features are still active in the background.
I noticed today when updating AIFlow from fs.to that the author has noted that both AIFlow and AIGround have been acquired by sayintentions.ai.
Iām not sure if that was being discussed elsewhere, but this felt like the thread to post this info if people had not heard.
The author said the plan is to keep AIFlow and AIGround available for free to the MSFS community, but I wonder what sort of specific enhancements they have planned for those of you using SayIntentions.
