AIG AI Manager and Traffic Controller for MSFS

In most cases, you need to ask Asobo/Microsoft. Nearly all Ai behavior is a sim issue and not something any third party dev can fix.

I know that, but I dont understand the reason. There must be only a few lines to change it the code for the altitude or not?

I saw aircraft climbing higher after take off? Any changes were made?

normal AI behavior

Anybody else having really bad CTD issues with Traffic Manager. This thing crashes for me before I even click on “Inject Traffic”.

My Traffic Controller crashes after some time with Beta Update 9 on Steam

So I ran into an amusing bug today selecting a flight. This is an AIG aircraft (the only add-on I had active, I was testing stability after downgrading from SU9 beta) so I’m guessing its scaling is… slightly off.

You thought the earth just hurled through space on it’s own?

I think a proper bug has reared it’s head here.

My sim just crashed and I now have an aircraft parked in the middle of the world map too. Not ever seen this before, and I’m running SU9 beta.

Oh yippee.

stop TC and start it again

What is the general consensus regarding traffic percentage in Traffic Manager?

I’d love to have it on 100% all the time but the Pressure it puts on the MainThread can be significant. Is there a recommended figure that gives the best balance between variety and density of traffic and performance?

Cheers.

The comments I have seen here and on Discord typically suggest around 70 to 75… YMMV

The only problem I have with setting 100% is at major international airports where it becomes difficult to talk to ATC because it gets too busy with other traffic comms to get a word in. So I sometimes dial it back to 70% before injecting traffic.

I don’t notice any significant performance issues using AIGTC
i7-8750H CPU @ 2.20GHz, 32.0 GB, 2TB M.2 NVMe, 1TB M.2 NVMe, 2TB PCIe SSD, Ultra wide 49inch Monitor 5120 x 1440, GTX 1060.

I am always arround 75%, 100% kills me at London etc. If I fly from and to huge airports I go down to 50%.

Interesting. I let it auto-inject then find often if I change on the fly it can crash TC or worse the sim.

Do you reckon it’s better to inject the traffic manually?

I never auto-inject. I start AIGTC and then wait until the initial startup completes (splash screen disappears), then I load the sim and after selecting FLY I manually inject. I find that this also makes AIGTC initial loading time quicker because it is not competing with MSFS for CPU time during loading.

I’m not sure that changing the percentage after initially injecting traffic actually does anything, other than possibly crashing AIGTC or MSFS.

Brill, thanks.

I’ll give all that a try.

Hey there, I have a question. Right now I am installing AIG traffic and I want to create a custom VMR for V-Pilot with the “Model Matching Magic” from Flightsim.to. And My question is, after I have created the VMR, can I delete the files that are installed in the community folder? Because it takes away a lot of space. I don´t mean the VMR file, I want to delete the simobjects in the community folder that are installed by the AIG mod.

So can I delete it because I have the VMR still there, or does it only work withe the other files in the community folder?

if you remove the SImObjects you loose the content and will not see any Objects in the Sim  Btw there are already plenty of VMR files on flightsim.to

Its a bit sad there is almost no flying airplanes on route. The Airports are full of planes but the Sky is empty. I got 24 GB of downloaded Airlines and Planes, so thats good i think.

Or am i missing a setting somewhere?
