Air Manager /Mobiflight question

Does Air Manager control hardware items like buttons, encoders, switches, display like Mobiflight does? I saw someone post a video of a cockpit but only mentioned AM as the software he used. I thought AM was for 2D pangel gauges and MF was for I/O control. Can anyone clear this up?

looks like it does!

here is a page where they list what they support in terms of hardware :

and here they mention knobster, raspberry pi, arduino and more :

AM can do all the usual hardware and anything else besides if you don’t mind getting your hands dirty. It’s had hardware for a long time now but has recently introduced a no scripting required facility for those not wanting to get into the simple Lua scripting. It’s a one stop cockpit builders dream.

It does look interesting. IMHO I like Mobiflight for now because it doesn’t require me to know anything about scripting. It’s like just point click and it all goes well. I do like the idea of getting AM and trying it out. But since I fly exclusively in VR I probably will stick with MF.
