Airbus A220 (Bombardier CSeries) Guide

Hello fellow aviators,

I’ve completed a personal project to create a comprehensive guide on operating the Airbus A220 (formerly the Bombardier CSeries). The guide is based on real A220 FCOM data, combined with practical experience flying the aircraft. And I’m making it available here for free.

After several hundred hours of work, I managed to condense more than 5,000 pages of FCOM material into a 300-page guide. It covers virtually every aspect of the aircraft, nothing has been “dumbed down” for flight simulator use and nothing has been left out.

This began as a personal project to expand my own notes and summaries to better understand the aircraft, but it gradually grew beyond its original scope. Although it is not intended for real-world operational use (disclaimer), it may be useful as a preparation resource for type training.

I will keep making incremental improvements, be sure to check the link below regularly. The date of last edit is shown on the front page. Now all that’s missing is the aircraft itself. In the meantime, you’ll at least have something to study so you’re fully prepared when it releases :smiling_face_with_sunglasses: .

I’m not affiliated with Synaptic Simulations. For questions about the upcoming Synaptic Airbus A220, please refer to their Discord server. This guide may not reflect the exact functionality or configuration of the Synaptic A220, as it is based solely on real-world data and experience.

Should you have any questions, feel free to post them below.

Very nicely done…can’t wait for the final project to be completed. Thanks for sharing…

If anyone is interested in learning about the A220 already, I managed to describe pretty much every switch with corresponding logics.

I am trying to draw my own schematics as copying from the FCOM is probably copyright infringement. Takes a long time though…

Yes, i was wondering how long it took to complete one page. Do you fly these IRL?

I do fly the A220 in real life yes  .

Bit of an update for today:

The manual looks outstanding. Now all we need is a plane to go with it. :slightly_smiling_face:

always. Would be great

Got flight controls and electrical system done. Still a lot to do, but I guess the A220 won’t be released anytime soon.

If when you are finished the A220, do you think you might be interested in adapting these to another A… version. I’m thinking maybe all of the Airbus iterations could do with these wonderful tutorials. Maybe even create yourself a website and get a few £’s for each set? They are worth it :ok_hand:

Problem is that I haven’t flown those for real.

Hydraulic system done as well

Wow! Nicely done. When is this aircraft due to be released? Any idea?

Hopefully not before I’m done, but your guess is as good as mine  .
