Hello, I hope you can appreciate the effort. I’m trying to test all the aircraft I’ve bought for FS2020.
In the table, you will find the following columns for each aircraft: Show in menu (whether the aircraft appears in the selectable list), Load in sim (whether you see it parked after clicking Fly), Crash the sim (if it crashes or hangs the sim), Instruments (whether the instruments work 100%), Fly (whether you can start the aircraft and take off), and Sound (if there is audio).
If you’d like to contribute, I’d be happy to have your help.
Appreciate what you’re trying to do but it’s pointless TBH. All you are really doing is documenting your particular experience which may or may not match that of others.
For instance, I took the MV310R for a quick spin and while it was not a thorough test, the only issues that I found were an inoperative airspeed indicator and no animation on the yoke.
Just did a thorough test of the BlackBox Simulations BN2 Islander.
Shows in Menu fine, even the different variations come through as variations rather than different planes.
Loads in sim - although there is an immediate sound bug. Something is clicking and I can’t find out what.
It did not crash the sim.
All the instruments work as they should. However, something is bugged with the fuel flow, as it doesn’t get enough fuel to get the plane up to take off speed.
It does fly provided the wind is right on take-off.
The sounds are all perfect except for the above sound bug.
Edit; Note; the FPS seemed much lower (bearing in mind, I have the sim cranked on a 7900x3D, a 4090, 64gb ram). Normally I get between 100 and 130fps, this was getting 60. However, it looks better than it ever did in 2020.
Edit 2; It wasnt worth creating another entry for the BN2 MkIII (Trislander). All issues and issues and notes are the same. Although the flaps lever doesn’t move, but the flaps do. It also has the same fuel flow issue (or something do with the throttle system).
All the instruments work as they should. If using the PMS750 (both 2020 or 2024 versions) the backlights are hard to see.
It flies great.
The sounds are all perfect.
Two notes; 1) the windscreen scratches are now over done, but this is common issue with MSFS2020 aircraft in 2024. 2) Using the weight system to add and remove features is more difficult now.
All the instruments except the I could not the autopilot to function, nor would the switches move. Also there is a flashing rectangle of light where a tablet would sit. It does not display just flashes into the void.
It flies great.
The sounds are all perfect.
The clip board features still work as they did, chocks, loading unloading etc. Although the guitar no longer plays.
I think that if an aircraft works for some user (all green) then we know this aircraft is ok. If it doesn’t work for others might probably be because of circumstances like server bandwidth or incompatible other content in the community folder.
In the Carenado Cessna 182 RG the autopilot is not working correctly. The display is dark and clicking the “AP” button activates roll stability and altitude hold, but nothing else is possible.
Here’s the developer’s info on the Classic Aircraft Simulations Piper J-3 Cub. I haven’t tried it myself yet. I’m confident it’ll be updated pretty soon!
I flies flawlessly in MSFS24. I used it last night. There are instructions on how to setup on the A2A forum. Might be worth a look to see if you are setup correctly.
