Has the B1B had a further update …last time I tried it, it was definitely not 100%
I seem to recall (after installing the 2024 update) things like the engine power meters were barely visible …and I’m sure there were more things?
Im not sure the all the Just Flight products should be green across the board either with no comments?
Only the Vulcan and the RJ I believe have had 2024 upgrades (Hawk tomorrow?)
All the rest require some ‘tweaking’ to get them to work … unless I have missed something!
SWS Said they have pushed it out. Not buying anything off OrbX in the future if I can avoid it. They take way too long, and the App sometimes just wont load.
If you try to install it, it says it is not for 2024
Agreed. I’m disappointed in what Orbx have done. I have uninstalled 2020 as I’m happy with how 2024 is running for me. Only to be bluffed by Orbx telling me I can no longer download the products that I paid for, due to not having 2020 installed. Surely it’s completely irrelevant to Orbx what sim I have or don’t have installed? All that should matter is that I paid for the product, so I should be allowed to download it.
Contrail do it too. I am really sorry to say this, but I am just sick of it all at the moment and am sticking with another SIM for now
.
It pains me but I just hate the direction and way things are at the moment.
I agree 100% with you, I will return for the odd VFR flight, 2024 runs amazing for me but the liveries, the way the plane selection is a total mess, held back planes, lack of a market place, really stupid bugs, regressions etc.
I bought the MK2-C today great plane but it just isn’t enough, I highly doubt even the A350 will draw me back because things seem just a mess right now.
My biggest gripe is they left the add-on Devs out on the cold and to me that has been a huge mistake. I think it’s going to take months to get our add-ons back i.e. iFky/PMDG and then no doubt more bugs and more time. Then a year of perfection for it all to start again with 2028.
I have bought 2 planes, both are said to be for 2024 both have issues that were not present in 2020. I just need to step away for a bit and wait for progress.
For those of you who purchased the WB-SIM C172 Steam Gauge Enhansement mod for MSFS 2020 (Premium & Deluxe), be aware that it is already 2024 “Compaible” ( while not a 2024 native Design).
If you disable the Asobo 2024 C172 Steam gauge aircraft, then the 2024 Marketplace (Premium Deluxe) will allow you to install the 2020 C172,(assuming you had the 2020 Premium / deluxe) and then with the WB-Sim Mod, in your community folder, it will enhance that carried over C172, just as it did in 2020.
Many are already doing this with NO Issues… it runs just as it did in 2020.
See the WB-SIM Discord for further information a support.
Hi, I’m I missing something in regards to 2020 aircraft being able to run in 2024? My PMDG 738 is showing in library but “not author supported” or something similar. Same with Just Flight RJ and 146. My Avro Vulcan isn’t even in the library. I can load RJ and 146 but nothing works. Battery switches move but do not supply power to aircraft. Some of the Microsoft aircraft don’t load either, ie ATR and Wasp. I have enabled the above aircraft but nothing works??
The piston duke show up in the menu for menu and they appear to work fine. There might be smaller bugs in there in 24, but I don’t know the plane well enough to see those.
I don’t have the aforementioned PMDG aircraft but everything I’ve read says they don’t work.
The others I can’t give info on, but check their respective threads. I would guess they also probably don’t as they are fairly advanced aircraft that might have some things not compatible until the devs can fix em.
Wasp and ATR are not available to me either but I don’t own either, so they might not show if there’s any issues. I think if they were fine MS would be selling them though on the market. I know there are other 1st party aircraft with pretty significant problems so I’d assume it’s the case for those unless someone else chimes in!
How did the TBM 850 get compatibility across when the developer stated no such 2024 compatibility currently exists? 2024 optimization/upgrade is in the production pipeline (per the developer website), so we should see updated Dukes and the TBM 850 in short time…
Guys, I’m leaving the thread. It’s clearly impossible to test the DLCs when every beta release breaks even what was already working.
Honestly, I don’t have that much time to waste.
Thanks to everyone who collaborated with me.
