Just flew into EGGP Liverpool with live aircraft turned on and a EasyJet A320 followed me in. I checked on flight radar and a EasyJet did just land at Liverpool at the same time but what I found remarkable was that the aircraft registration in game was the one that actually landed IRL.
Is this the depth that the sim goes into or is it just a coincidence …
Personal Comments and Observations
The Live Traffic service is based upon an API feed from FlightAware - MS pays for the Firehose service, at no cost to the sim player. So that info will be indeed fairly accurate and close to real-time.
Why shows flightaware always so less traffic and flightradar 24 have full live traffic… In the simulator with live traffic running, there is also less or no traffic. Here is a current comparison in the apps.
Even the GA live traffic matches reg numbers.
I’ve noticed that EGKK Gatwick never seems to have much live traffic. A couple on approach, runway or departure but very little, if any, ground traffic. Comparing with EGLL Heathrow on the EFB and that is covered by live traffic.
Used default and Inibuilds EGKK but traffic is the same on both.
