Agreed. This is a must-have.
Parallel idea here
Very on board with this, especially like the H125 is used in almost every rotary mission but you’d have to buy separately for every company to use it! Its not unrealistic too, standard practice here in New Zealand for a a chopper todo multiple jobs for one aircraft. Ag-Work, Pax, lifting, fire-fighting etc. Would just introduce a small fee to change it over to a different variant.
just brainstorming here without insight as to why they reasoned the current company setup:
I’m wondering if they have 1 license->1 company is some way to distinguish earning by type per company plane(s). the crossovers would take away passive income from one company into another; or what is the logical split - 60% skydive/40% flightseeing? (or user splits)
would be a pain to program-not impossible, just a lot of work to ensure splits are correctly used and the planes are assigned properly.
the per company license per plane setup is all clean, financials/aircraft/helos.
I would like it when first setting up companies and could setup certain planes in certain companies; at first just can buy what’s possible just to get the company started - of course, it could be an optional feature (players can choose to not use the feature, question is, will enough use it). after a while, the cash allows expanding with other aircraft. right now, I’m trying to get my craft to earn passive income with “crew on” and I’ve flown a mission with one of the craft. so, there’s that hindrance to get started.
Also agree. Must have option!
I don’t see it, can’t you just sell the one and buy the one you want and chalk the difference up to #1 out-of-character education, #2 in-character retrofit costs since the places aren’t configured the same and you would logically need to make changes to repurpose the plane?
I also think this only matter for very early game - maybe just make the entry level planes have better resale value (which would only require small configuration changes vs larger game play and user interface impacts).
is this even planned on SU2?
I love skydive piloting, but the game only have one type of company at start…
