I have some complaints about the airport lighting I’d like to share. First, during the day, the taxiway and runway lights are either on when they should be off, or they’re too bright and the glow is obnoxious.
Second, at night- the airport runway/taxiway lights are far too bright from a distance. You don’t see airports from altitude, from a distance in the dark. You see beacons. Runway lighting is not omnidirectional.
These are two huge immersion killers that really eat away at the enjoyment factor, and I’m hoping to get them on the radar here.
