There was a promising post from Seafront Sims yesterday that looks like Pearl is in development?
Now I’ve been wrong before (twice, this year!) but that sure looks like they’re sitting on the Diamond Head (East) side of Pearl Harbor facing Mauka (towards the mountains, which in this case is North.) I didn’t count features, but the ship in the distance sure could be USS MISSOURI (BB-63). The rest of the foliage there sure looks like that area of Ford Island. I might be missing something, but it looks like the USS ARIZONA (BB-39) Memorial is missing from the in-sim shot.
(Edit) - Just looked at it again and it could be obscured by the windshield support of the (helicopter?)
I’m pretty sure they’re in the circled area on the right looking towards the left side of the photo.
Fun fact, the original name of Ford Island was Moku’ume’ume. The Ford Island Wikipedia page calls it “attraction island.” Erm… closer to “keys in the bowl,” I would say.
Thx for the offer to help. But I’m flying via XBOX series X. So I’ve tried all the tricks and tips written here in the forums. Deleting cache, uninstalling, reinstalling. Uninstalling all my 3rd party airports (in Hawaii). But for whatever reason. PHOG Kahului will give me a CTD after a few min at the airport (sometimes actually just landing also). Mostly when I am taxing to the gate though. In small or large planes. Something in PHOG just doesnt like the Xbox I guess.
(BTW I do occasionally get a CTD at some of the other Hawaii airports. But that’s pretty much true with any of the 3rd party airports on Xbox. Sometimes I can go for days without a CTD. Then other days boom. But PHOG pretty much every time.)
The other airports I have for Hawaii are:

That’s pretty much all that is offered on XBOX Market Place at the moment. I really enjoy having these nice looking 3rd party airports in Hawaii. The developers did very nice job. I’m def jealous of what all one can get for PC. But that’s not really an option for me. I do enjoy flying on MSFS. But sometimes. ugh. ha!

I’ve got an Xbox Series X, but my PC is connected via Steam, so I’d have to re-purchase all my addons.
Dangit. I wish there was some way to figure that out.

I have all the Hawaian airports available on Xbox, all work well and I am quite pleased with them except for Kahului PHOG. CTD everytime I am 20’ from landing. Very disappointing and that airport was not cheap. Is there a way to get a refund for this as it’s unsusable?
Is that the Northern Sky Studios PHOG? Did it just break with SU9?
Yes it is, on Xbox box that’s your only choice other than default. I just bought it a couple weeks ago and still need to try it with the Sim update that came out today.
Please let me know what happens after you upgrade to SU9. While I can’t fix it myself, I can let Oleh (the lead developer at NSS) know the next time we chat, which is usually daily.
It’s a fantastic airport, and I would be very happy if we could get it working for you!

Thanks Latka for your offer, I really do appreciate it. I’d reach out myself but the info to contact NSS does not seem to be readily available. I don’t want to return it or ask for a refund as it looks like a fantastic add on, but it’s not working and on Xbox there is not much I can do. In fact thats what I like about the xbox you can’t really mess with things. You DL and you play. Here is where I am at:
I updated to SU9 yesterday, just didn’t get a chance to fly. I did three tests this morning. To keep things simple and minimize conflicts these are default aircraft with default liveries, clear skies and no wind.
Baron G36 taxiing around all areas of the airport- after about 3 minutes CTD near the North end of the main terminal building.
Cessna 172 Same thing after a few minutes of taxiing - about 4 minutes in CTD along the taxi way beside the main terminal building closer to the runway and behind the planes at the gates.
Cessna 208 Grand Caravan flight from PHHN (Hana) to PHOG - CTD on short final to runway 2 just before touchdown. BTW RW 2 is by far the most used runway for landing at this airport.
It appears to me SU9 didn’t make any difference and I will have to once again uninstall PHOG so that I can fly in and out of there. All CTD start with the screen stutter a couple times and the sound cut in and out then to desktop, or in this case Xbox home screen. In addition I restarted my Xbox Series X each time after the CTD.
If the developer wants to talk to me directly then let me know, I’m just not sure I want to post my email in an open form as I already get too much junk mail. Or unless there is an email I can reach out to them.

I live over on O’ahu right next to PHNG 
Used to fly to PHOG quite often when I worked for Island Air as a dispatcher!
That’s really odd. To be honest, I haven’t had a chance to fly into all the HI airports since the SU9 update. I’ve got a couple of things to do after work today, but when I finish with those I’ll do some testing at PHOG. If I can replicate or get similar results, then it’s probably something with the airport. If not, it might be an Xbox specific thing. Either way we’ll put some work into chasing this one down.
Just to make sure - Xbox Series S or X? Xbox all up to date?
I have the exact same issues with PHOG. I also had to uninstall the airport. Such a shame because it really is a nice looking airport. So much better than the default one. But it just doesnt play nice with MSFS 2020 on Xbox for whatever reason. I hope they can figure out why and fix it.
Have Asobo fixed the water color by PHNL airport? For quite some time the ocean was literally brown, which is clearly not realistic especially w/ Hawaii. I haven’t flown there in the sim in a while…
Are you running the default Bing data, or that which shall not be mentioned?
I haven’t noticed the water being brown near PHNL, but I’ll take a peek!
I love your Islands Latka. Although I live in Northern Canada, I used visit the Islands to unthaw in the winter, and hope to again one day. I have been to almost all the airports on the islands in real life, so I certainly enjoy flying to them in the sim. Even been to Lanai, PMRF, and the Forbidden Island with permission of course. Just have not been to Molokai yet.
Anyway I have Xbox Series X, and all up to date. I sure hope it gets straightened out. I’m not trying to be critical of the developer at all and realize it could be something in MSFS, however since MSFS came out on the Xbox I’ve only had 1 or 2 CTD and that was several updates ago so I don’t have any now, except PHOG.
I have all the Hawaiian add-on airports you can currently get on Xbox, and can’t wait for PHLI and PHKO, PHTO, HI01, and of course PHNL. Hopefully somebody makes them.

I’ve got an Xbox series X that I am ashamed to say has been sitting in its box in the living room since …December of last year. >.< I need to get that set up (soon), and when I do I will pick up the NSS PHOG and test it!
Even though I am not officially involved with NSS, I do like their airports, and I think PHOG is outstanding! I will do whatever I can to get you some help on this issue. I mean if I’m going to call myself the Hawai’i Ambassador for MSFS, I better, eh?

I can verify PHOG is solid on the PC under SU9; taxied all over the place, took off, and landed and taxied to parking. Alas, I bought it on SimMarket before it came to Marketplace, so I don’t have it on my Xbox Series X to test there. But it does sound like the problem is localized to the Xbox version.
As for the water around PHNL, looks pretty blue to me, give or take some reefs and sandbars…

Finally unboxed the Xbox Series X I’ve had sitting around for months. Updated the OS, controller (thank Thor you can FINALLY do that wirelessly), and now she’s chugging away on the Game Pass version of MSFS. Of course my PC has the Steam version.
More than likely this is not going to finish before I go to bed here probably around 0800Z, so I’ll check on it when I wake up.
Regarding MSFS Marketplace version of NSS’ PHOG - chatted with Oleh a couple of hours ago, and he said he had an update to load to the Marketplace. Fingers crossed that “goes live” soon and fixes issues like @Uncoiler is experiencing. More news as it happens!

There was an update yesterday from Northern Sky Studios. I got MSFS installed on the Xbox last night, but hoping to actually get in, check it out, and then install PHOG and check that out. I will definitely report back what I find.
