After having tried the F18, it might be time to integrate the air condensation on the wings, since more than a year that many people ask for it, if the humidity and the temperature play a lot on this condensation formation, to pull the stick all the way back without any effect, is not very credible.
DCS or even X-plane do it very well.
like here with an M2000 on DCS
or with a b767 on x-plane :
Probably a little difficult to have condensation without first having the concept of simulating Humidity ??
yes, indeed, but well, it could be integrated
I don’t have any precise information. After that, it’s just visual…
Good thing xplane and DCS has condensation for those people that need it!
Then why even bother to have a flight model ? just put the plane up in the air, and Visually make it appear to fly !!
Wasn’t MSFS originally marketed as a SIMULATOR, not a Visual “pretty picture” ?
Surely MetroBlue has Humidity info ??
to put it simply,
I like to fly, I like the planes to be as close to the real thing as possible, I do my flights still sitting in the seat, but I like to see the realism when I replay my flight in the outside view. Now, this is not a priority for you, I understand that, but …
I was really hoping that the FA18 would come with these FX. G-vapor in Dcs looks so good. I always pull those high gs and love watching the condensation on the wings. These effects are also possible in msfs. The SDK allows it but it’s upto the developer to implement it. I hope someone can mod this since it’s not encrypted.
me too, come on Asobo, a little effort on your planes, to show the way to others!
I have no idea what i said to make you think I did not like REALITY ?
maybe you are in Reality, not meaning to reply to me ?
to put it simply,
I like to fly, I like the planes to be as close to the real thing as possible, I do my flights in real aircraft, and I like to see the realism when I replay my flight with a Go-Pro . Now, this is not a possibility for you, I understand that, but …
Well, that escalated quickly. If no humidity and condensation, why bother with flight model at all? Can you see the humidity and condensation in the cockpit?
Everyone is waiting for something in this game and eventually a lot of our wishes will come true, I hope yours does too.
Cheers!
They have implemented fog in the latest update… ties in with humidity. Is it possible they are a step closer to implementing Gvapor?
I’m sorry,
I misinterpreted your comments.
probably by a bad translation
I wouldn’t mind it, but we seem to have only just landed on a pretty stable build.
Doesn’t seem all that hard but who knows
/¯_(ツ)_/¯
Just getting around to exploring a bit… was surprised to see a Humidity slider in the weather settings. That has to be new with SU7, correct?
I assume it must be, I do not recall seeing one before SU7 ..
So, maybe Asobo has added additional Humidity simulation – GOOD !!!
So now, temp, DP & Humidity should be interrelated & simulated.
Might explain the new Visibility effects seen in SU7
or the Simulated lack of Visibility (at least) that some already seem to want to get rid off !!
like __________. (Not going to mention it in detail, and re-awake the “get rid of it because I do not understand its use” Dragon )
Yeah, I was really surprised. I had to do a double take!
And then of course I moved the slider around and it definitely made a huge difference with what I was seeing on the screen. I’m not sure how it is “scaled”, it’s not like it’s a percent that would match up with a weather report. But yeah, it makes a huge difference in what is seen on the screen.
That has to pave the way for the condensation effects like G-vapor. And, with DX12 in beta… I think we’re getting close😊
Same here love to make things as realistic as possible. One thing people forget is that XP11 took a while before implementing condensation
And down another Rabbit Hole we go !!
HUMIDITY SLIDER : 0 - 20
20 what ??
Is it Humidity or “Relative Humidity”
If its “Relative Humidity” max should be 100%, and practice Min is about 20%
It does not seem to be a “humidity” slider at all, but instead some form of “GAME FANTASY” Visibility Slider, which alters the distance you can see before the view becomes obscured.
When it is adjusted between 0 to 20 (max), the “Visibility Simvar” does not vary, so it seems to be an “Eye Candy” effect.
And we have not even touch on RVR yet !!
Version release notes say “Weather Improved” – which could mean anything.
All make very little sense to me !
