A few previews on their social media channels. Good to see this one finally get some attention. Given Ini’s talent for creating mega-hubs, might we see them tackle LFPG, now that Aerosoft has abandoned it?

Interesting. Going back to MSFS2020, I think the FSDT KORD was really the only third party option? It was the only third party airport I actually bought because at the time, the sim version was woefully behind and didn’t even have the proper runways, and it was almost non-functional with Navigraph navdata due to the old scenery. None of the ILS approaches would show. The in-sim KORD did finally catch up to the latest runway config, but the airport is still under construction with a major new terminal being built.
Glad to see someone finally tackling this uber-US hub. I have FSDT, and as @BigCow74 mentions it’s woefully out of date from the current charts. I never flew this in VATSIM for this reason.
Hopefully Inibuilds has a dedicated team to upgrade this once a quarter for all the new construction/changes.

What’s the typical timeline from iniBuilds scenery announcement to release?
Usually two to four weeks from the first announcement…

Trailer dropped today, so should only be a day or two away, if past releases are anything to go by (although Ini do typically release at weekends).

They typically release on Friday’s, so that’s my tip. But I wouldn’t mind if they released that earlier and I could finally get rid of FSDT’s KORD

I’m trying to resist this and Orbx’s KATL, both of which look stunning. best part of £50 on two airports so I imagine I’ll wait for sales.
With the Synaptic A220 and Bluebird 757 on the way — plus JF’s recently-released F70/100 bundle — it’s already shaping up to be an expensive summer for airliner ops!

I didn’t realise this was the first airport to use Ini’s new multiple jetway technology (up to three simultaneously, is it?).
This worries me just a bit, not gonna lie:
The sim’s WASM implementation is already pretty fragile - the more WASM modules running, the less stable the sim is apt to be.

Presumably it’s yet another system for devs to incorporate into what are often already temperamental aircraft.
It’s going to go one of two ways: either Asobo will sit back and consider Ini’s effort less work they have to do themselves, or they will introduce their own multi-jetway function into the sim in a future SU. A third scenario, somewhat related to the second, is that they use their leverage with Ini (who are currently an official partner) to basically incorporate their system into the sim as a fully native feature.

Stock KORD, Premium Deluxe.
With my hardware and graphics settings, I get in the low to mid 30’s in FPS when sitting at a gate in the default B738M looking straight ahead. Cockpit view is low 30’s, external is mid 30’s. I’m main thread limited, but just barely.
Very curious to see how ini performs. The stock KORD in Premium Deluxe is bespoke, so it’s already rather complicated and stressful on a system, especially when you have real world traffic on. It’s crazy busy.
I have a bunch of Ini’s large hub airports - JFK, LAX, DFW, Heathrow, Dubai, Hong Kong … they all perform well to excellently on my system, so I’m not terribly worried about ORD. Guess we’ll all see.
FWIW, YouTuber CptCanada is currently en route to this scenery tonight, about 45 minutes out, for anyone who wants to see what it looks like “in the wild.”

KDFW has impressive performance. It does, however, dial back the detail landside, and of course has limited terminal interiors. If this is what it takes to bolster performance, though, I’m all for it!
Ini get a lot of stick for various things but I think the flight simming world would be so much worse off without them. They’re probably the only dev we can consistently rely on to recreate mega-hubs that are both very detailed and relatively kind to our hardware.
I hope they will eventually tackle LEMD and LFPG. They’ve done just about every other mega-hub!

Definitely in need of an up to date, accurate LEMD to swap out the old LVFR LEMD with. iniBuilds oughta to have it in their plans!

I’d be very surprised if they hadn’t discussed it internally (I also think they’ll do LMML soon, but that’s another story). The only issue might be procuring good data for LEMD (and the same goes for LFPG, of course, with Aerosoft and PES already having run into problems). But Ini seem quite resourceful in the face of adversity, so…

I watched some of it. It looks very nice. Amazing how much of the inside is modeled. He found the Chili’s he previously ate at 
He tried to check the underground walkway to the remote United terminal, but it looks like MSFS doesn’t let you build underground.
