[ANNOUNCEMENT] FlightSim Studio Embraer 175

I actually think they said on their Discord (which is really the place to go to follow these issues) that it’s actually something else and a hotfix they’re working on which could be available in the next day or two might address it.

I personally had the stutters and it’s so bad the plane has been unflyable. Again, that’s why it’s good to have a lot of eyes on the product as it’s developed to pick up problems.

The hotfix is now live.
Each and every FPS issue seems to be a thing of the past.
For me it is smooth and i am on no hi-end machine…
I’d even say: far beyond Fnx level. At least on PMDG level…

Ofc there are still bugs but performance is not an issue anymore

Waaaay to early to be comparing to other products, but of course nice to see them making progress  .

That is the actual state of performance. I can’t look into the future but i’d make a guess nobody would be interested in

One thing is quite clear now: Performance problems were not due to “unpolished coding of systems” but more like a specific thing that exclusively caused the issue. It feels like a whole new aircraft overnight.

Of course there is still a lot left to do but at least now it is fun again to take this plane for test rides and give feedback as people are doing on their discord all the time.

Quite right, and that gives me hope that this will someday be a top notch plane. People are flying it, the devs seem responsive so far, and it’s getting better. They still have lots of bugs and BIG stuff to do in the form of VNAV, etc, but early signs seem positive.

hey guys, just got the last update too, amazing FPS but both my MFDs are not working anymore.
Any thoughts?
cheers

had a good flight KPDX KMSF 9.5v2, even ILS capture, Left MCDU froze during flight. FPS/Stutter much better. My mood about this project is improving again!!!

Happening to others too. Their Discord is a much better place to post and follow these issues than here…

If they worked and shut off mid flight it is not easy to solve.
As Garrisliari said: in that case you might head over to discord but be aware that solutions for that is either: waiting for next update or fiddle with something you might not be experienced in.

But if the MFDs (and the left MCDU) never switched on from the beginning (i had that after the update):
This is what fixed it for me: Uninstall in Aerosoft One → Install (experimental branch).

Some users reported, that with Aerosoft One it might be better to remove/install a product rather then updating as that solved other issues for other people in the past.

Just completed a flight to KPDX, with ILS, approach and landing on Runway 10R. Both MFDs are also working correctly. Very pleased with the latest update!

The temptation to jump on board is quite real… especially seeing these brids depart over me in Glasgow…

How are the sounds now? Has anything improved there since release?

Just completed a flight from UNBB to UNNT. FPS smooth all the way, no stutters at all, no concerns, did not manage to capture glide slope so landed manually, I’m truly impressed and will make another flight right now

Just remembered, regarding freezing MCDU, I did enquire about that some time ago and this is what I got:
The freeze happens if you move your (hidden) mouse cursor of the MCDU screen when using freelook engaged by a middle mouse button click. We’re working on that in issue #882.

The solution I found was to change something in the flightplan in FMC, than MCDU did unfreeze for me
Hope that helps

Hi Guys,

I had installed version 9.4. Today Aerosoft One prompted an update for me. I updated and now I have version 9.2 rev.1, not version 9.5. Is this correct?
Thanks for your advise!

Changelog / Roadmap btw:

Yes, apparently those who chose version to which FSS refers to as “stable” which is 0.92 (like myself) will only get updates when a mile stone has been reached. Those, who chose to have dev version, will get all the updated devs choose to bring.
As for myself, I’m happy with what I have at 0.92 and will be waiting for mile stones. I wish to fly comfortably, not getting annoyed at CTD, stutters etc, thank you.

Oh, I see. This makes sense. If I choose to use the experimental version, how would I do that in the Aerosoft one?
Thank you very much.

Uninstall and then you get the experimental option.

From e-mail they sent:
The version in the main branch that you all currently have installed has been reset to the old version 0.9.2. Calling this “stable” might be a bit too much, but due to better performance the community wanted to have access to this version. So if you run the update, you will not get a new version but an older one. We ask you not to report bugs for this version.

You can install the latest version (now 0.9.5) via the Experimental Branch. This will always contain the latest version while the stable branch will only be updated after reaching important milestones.
So if you just clicked update, than you’re automatically with the stable version.
