Anyone seen my trains yet?

Oh wow! Instabuy. So what’s the easiest way to actually find some trains? Fly around big train stations probably?

EDIT: This might help

Off to DC I go :ga_plane:

Congrats.

This is something many have wanted for a long time, and most in the know reckoned couldn’t be done.

I’ll look forward to seeing them in action.

Soo I just started off at Toronto Union Station (2nd biggest in North Ameria) and followed the tracks (3-4 of them in parallel) east for about 10 minutes. Did not see a single train.

And I did restart the sim after installation as stated in the description.

What am I doing wrong? Or are the no trains in PG areas?

And are there any parameters that can be changed (e.g. density)?

i did a flight around chicago area, didnt find any trains. They are pretty too sparsely allocated :grimacing:

Would be cool if anyone who actually saw a train could report back lol

It’s live on Xbox as well now! Sweet thanks for making.

What is your plan doe FS2024?

Oh uh oh. Im in Chicago area too. Maybe I’ll hold off on purchasing for now until replies come in. Save it on the wish list

Cheat code if you really want to find a train:

Summary

Open devmode, in ā€œDebugā€ menu click ā€œSim Objectsā€. In the ā€œUNKNOWNā€ category (NOT the one named ā€œTRAINā€), Look for objects with type AICreateSimulatedObject, then enable label on the object to see where it is.

So I just made an annount here because of this… I have now flow at three locations… Horseshoe Curve, Northeast Corridor and Cajon Pass and I haven’t seen a single train. All of these are mainlines, not a single Amtrak or Cargo Train. Yes, I restrated the sim after installing. The only thing I noticed were all tracks are now marked on the G1000 and the tracks seem to be more clearly visable

Will try that out. Still a bit discouraging to go to the second biggest train station in N. America, follow the tracks for 10 mins and not see a single train. Any idea why this is the case?

Is the density at all representative of real train lines or do you have to be lucky to catch a train once in a blue moon?
