No problem - remembered I already got that P40 via your website and got me a Goose.
Something must have gotten wrong already as my left engine went up in smoke - I swear I did nothing wrong!!

Can not seem to get the GPS to work. Thoughts. tuned to valid VOR but no indication on the GPS and cannot switch frequenciesâŠ
I will shut down the game and restart tomorrow.
The hand pump can only provide so much pressure. I would like it to require a couple of pumps to get to the required value and when we find a way, weâll update her.
Our starters are linked to custom code which unfortunately cannot be linked to hardware buttons YET. When we find a way to do this, weâll update her
Yea doesnât hold my Dads boat either when his engines are running Seriously thought weâll look at this to see if we can do something.
Hmmm lets see what your Mechanic saysâŠ
This is one of very few seaplanes in MSFS Iâve tried, if not the only one, that actually gets âon the stepâ in a convincingly realistic fashion instead of just skipping across the water like a flat stone.
Just had the time for a quick spin. Wonderfully detailed exterior and superb sound. A real gem at a very reasonable price.
I miss a splash when landing on the water - itâs difficult to ascertain if youâve touched down or not (if you canât hear it very well in the real plane, Iâm sure you can feel it Us simmers would like to know too)
A small thing: the tool tip for the right magneto is displaying the state of the left magneto.
Okay, I lied - I said Iâd be buying on Friday but decided to just go ahead.
The first place I flew her? Catalina, of course - with the Orbx custom Catalina Airport in the Sky scenery, natch.
With the tips above, I had no trouble starting the plane (except I failed to find the wobble pump - dâoh!). Once I got some fuel pressure, I was good to go.
Tried to land her in the harbor on the eastern coast of the island but floated before touchdown longer than expected and costed right up onto the dock. I fly with crash detection enabled so ⊠fortunately no Gooses (âGeeseâ?) or tourists were harmed in this event.
First impressions? LOVE it! The engine sounds, especially the startup, are fantastic. Takeoff is expectedly lumbering and sluggish, with a good feeling of weight and solidity in the handling, especially as the speed is building. Once flaps and gear are up, sheâs nice and stable, easy to fly and trim with little effort. I am looking forward to many hours of leisurely waterway flying with her.
I do need to read up to get an idea of expected Vr speeds, approach speeds, etc., but plenty of time for that later this week.
BeeJay, I donât know anything about the coding and behind the scenes stuff here, but is there a way to set the equivalent of flipping the Anchor switch while in water to toggle the effect of Parking Brake on the ground? That would take care of it, wouldnât it? Though I am not sure if thatâs doable.
Well, to do it right, the airplane should pivot around the anchor and end up facing into the wind (unless tied up to a jetty). That might be wishful thinking though.
The quote above isnât what I said, and the question about the view was not me.
Bought this earlier in the day but only got a chance to fly her just now and I absolutely love it! Looks great, sounds great, flies great and the water handling is pretty decent. Gets on the step like nothing else on MSFS. A real joy to fly. I was having fun landing and taking off on the water and when I decided to land back at the airstrip I took off from I kinda forgot that planes need landing gear when landing on terra firma
I really like the details in this. The little inspection windows just behind the seats to visually check the landing gear status (I forgot to do that obviously in the last pic.) The front door to the nose section opens as well and you can open up a hatch in the nose and pop your head out. You even get a toilet in the back compartment too. Love the little slide up unit as well.
Some minor issues that have been mentioned like not really sure how the gyropilot works. Is the heading mode working on this? Also the dirt textures on the forward edge of the side windows is a bit low res, and wobble pump doesnât seem to be able to get pressure up to 3-4 PSI as indicated in the checklist, only 2.5. But thatâs all minor stuff, everything else is great. Great job guys!
I do have a request though: is it possible to have some sort of state saving for the yoke styles? I love the leather look and itâd be cool if I could just flick that switch and it be remembered between flights.
you need to prime with the throttles also - slide em full forward - hesitate then bring them back to idle - check the fuel pressure meter and repeat if necessary - then HOLD the starter switch until the engine starts fully
BTW, I love the little touches - the separate light switch for the toilet, the light switch by the main door for the cabin lights, the repeater instruments behind the cockpit bulkhead in the cabin - great stuff!
And thanks for the âwater rudderâ functionality! For those of us with a single throttle, it really helps! I only wish the âanchorâ had a bit better hold. I landed and coasted into the harbor at Catalina this evening and five minutes later, the breeze had pushed me onto the jetty.
Pretty much.
Hmmm I think so, yes. Iâll look into it.
You can now purchase the Goose from our good friends Orbx
Hey Folks,
If anyone is having troubles getting their Goose to show up after installing, it looks like MS have changed their export process and included an additional folder in the archive. Currently when you unarchive it, there is a folder called âPackagesContentâ which has the ACTUAL folder you need.
Iâm just uploading a new version of the ZIP file that REMOVES this extra folder to make it simpler for you all.
N.B. THERE ARE NO OTHER CHANGES (yet) apart from removing this extra directory from the archive. First update will come closer to the weekend.
Thanks <3
No worries, just remaining in place when anchored would be very useful. One (very low priority) requestâŠwould it be possible to have the pilot figures removed from the cockpit if the pilot station weights are zeroed?
Absolutely love it! Bought it straight from BR so that they donât have to share the money, as a thanks for the freeware Goose that held us off until now.
My left engine got fire too, but I could not pull the fire extinguisher handle with mouse after selecting the engine, is this simulated?
Also can we have a seat back for the fishing chair?

Well your mechanic is going to be very unhappy with you arenât they!
The Fire Extinguisher is on our list to fix for the next update.
sheâs very very pretty!
