Another Transaction is pending

I can not buy any products from the Microsoft in-game store because it keeps saying that another transaction is pending. I tried signing out and restarting the game, but it doesn’t help. Any other ideas?

Had the same. I tried with another credit card but to no avail. I ended up buying it somewhere else instead.

I’ve had the same problem for months.

Created two tickets at Zendesk, tried everything Zendesk wrote, unfortunately without success. Also uninstalling and reinstalling MSFS 2020 did not help.

What can I do otherwise?

Just adding to this thread as this started happening to me today on Xbox Series X. I cannot make a purchase as I get this error message about another transaction pending.

I have hard reset the console and signed in and out of my profile through the Xbox and through MSFS.

I can’t find any reference to this happening to people outside the PC platform - does anyone know a fix?

I’m having the same issue mate. I’ve tried everything and nothing works. Is it still an issue for you? If not, what did you do to fix it? Thanks, Jon

Hi Jon, after about 2 weeks the issue just solved itself, it’s a weird one as I didn’t even have any pending transactions on my account for them to clear.

Just do as I did and keep trying each day - hard reset your Xbox and sign in and out of your profile.

exact same thing happening to me, have tried all the solutions mentioned on here. have a ticket in with Zendesk who say

"Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.

This issue has been tracked in our internal bug tracker thanks to the information you provided.

Bugs and issues that have been successfully reproduced will be categorized and prioritized—game-breaking bugs will receive the highest priority, while middle-of-the-road and cosmetic bugs are prioritized based on reproduction and the number of times reported"

that doesn’t help me thanks. Any one have anything new to try. wasting all my hours trying to fix this when I should be enjoying the game.

I’ve had the same problem for about two months no as you are having. I opened a ticket with ZenDesk, tried everything they suggested, sent them a crash dump to help them, and ended up receiving the same answer you did. I even completely removed MSFS and reinstalled it and there was no change. I guess I’m waiting for a fix. If the Marketplace was cancelling ALL purchase attempts, this problem would be fixed before tomorrow! I am tired of checking each day to see if this has been “magically” fixed. I’d give up on the Marketplace but there are two items I want to buy and they are only sold in the Marketplace.

Basically something is blocking the pop-up overlay from the Microsoft Store(?) purchase process. (Although Microsoft Store and Xbox purchases are working correctly for me.)

Update: I fixed my “Another Transaction is pending” problem. I tried all the steps ZenDesk gave me except for #1 - All current Windows updates are installed. I skipped this step because why wouldn’t my Windows be current? After wrestling with this problem for weeks, I checked my Windows updates. I discovered two updates from earlier this year consistently failed each installation attempt. The Windows Troubleshooter for Windows Updates didn’t find or fix the problem. I spent many days trying to fix this update problem. Most of the recommendations I tried had failed leaving as the final solution: “format everything, install Windows, restore your apps and files from backups” which was unacceptable to me.

After going through numerous Windows logs, I found one Windows dll file that was corrupt. I copied the dll from another Windows system to my PC. I restarted the PC and then retried the Windows update. The updates that had failed processed correctly!

Next I tried a purchase in the MSFS Marketplace. The MS Store purchase window opened and I completed the purchase!

If you are not able to buy from the Marketplace, check your Windows updates.

Even though the problem was 100% Windows, the Marketplace error message was completely wrong and misleading. Some users actually may have a pending transaction that is failing. I didn’t. My purchase attempts failed because of a corrupted Windows system.

Thx, finally it started to work for me again. Maybe it was 30 minutes, I did few log on / off on my Windows account, changed password to my Microsoft Account. Restarted 2-3 times PC etc. The result - I bought the Junkers F.13 ;).

Same PC problem here for about 2 months now. Can buy other things from Xbox and Microsoft store. Contacted ZenDeck twice. Did everything they suggested. No joy. Hello ZenDesk. Will there be a fix in the next update?

Unfortunately there are multiple reasons for the “transaction pending” problem so you will have to go through each of them to find the solution that works for you.

None of the things in the FAQs worked for me. Except one FAQ points to getting and installing Windows 10/11 updates.

This is where I was stuck. There were two Windows updates that have been failing for months, about the same time I started getting the “pending purchase”. These two Windows updates HAD to be installed before any purchase transactions could be processed.

This was no longer a MSFS/Asobo problem. Now it became a Windows problem. As soon as the Windows updates were installed successfully, my purchase transactions processed correctly. This is the post documenting most everything I did to fix my problem.Resolving my Transaction Pending issue

I have this problem, I have hard reset the Xbox, reinstalled the game… still got it. Not I have the joy of doing all the world updates again…

Done all the steps they said in the FAQs and tried the reset option.. still nothing.
