Description of the issue:
The flight model physics seems broken in MSFS 2024 in comparison to MSFS 2020, in MSFS 2024 the plane can barely reach take-off speed even on the longest runways, when in the air, even the gentlest climb rapidly drops the airspeed to below minimum and the plane stalls out, the manifold pressure gauge also seems to glitch out.
If applicable, which aircraft is experiencing this issue:
Famous Flyer V: Antonov An-2 by ATSimulations

I am using the same start-up and take-off procedures as I used successfully in MSFS 2020 for hundreds of flights if there are changes needed to that procedure, I am not sure what that could be. I manage to take off barely, but any climb, climbs that is no problem in 2020, is a no-go (airspeed drops rapidly, and the plane stalls), I have tried with no passengers, no cargo, and a minimum of fuel, still the same result.
I have done testing of the Antonov-An2 between 2024 and 2020, same condition, same airport, same time of day, same everything. But the Antonov-An2 behaves completely differently between 2020 and 2024. In 2024 it is completely unflyable compared to 2020. In 2024 it flies like a potato.
I also did some testing to see how the manifold pressure gauge behaves between 2020 and 2024, and no doubt the gauge is glitched out in 2024.
the AN2 hasnt been updated in ages - so we still have to wait for the author to update it for MSFS2024 - and hopefully also add support for career mode as a Passenger/Cargo plane.
Same for me. I can barely reach take off speed and every single try to elevante makes the plane stall. The plane is unplayable. Completely broken in MSFS 2024.
I have just tried all versions in the game (if you recall, in the MSFS 2020 initial release there were differences between the GPS and steam gage version), but in 2024 both are equally bad. Yay!
It barely accelerates at take off, I can´t get the plane fly faster than 170 km/h ,it looses airspeed in a turn quickly, and it just feels weird in general. Something is indeed wrong.
I expected issues with the new planes, but not with the old, 2020 releases.
The problem is that it is not possible to reach the take-off RPM value. Only 1800, but we need 2000-2100. The RPM stops around 1400. The lever is moving, but the RPM is not growing and even falling a little. After 1400, the lever moves forward by 10-20â„… but the RPM does not increase in this range
We have created an internal ticket to see if our team already has this logged, and if not they will attempt to reproduce the issue and create a new bug report. This item is now marked as feedback-logged. If there is an existing bug report or one is created, we will move this thread to bug-logged
Hello everyone! The problem there is about fuel selector, which perform different in fs2020 and 2024. The solution for now is not use “both” position.
The reverse yes.. needs to be provided for floats version.
Thanks, it works. Just a heads up for others: turning the fuel selector to “Both” after take-off will cause the plane to become buggy, but it reverts back to normal behavior when turned to “left” or “right”. Turning the fuel selector to “both” during take-off but before you get the plane into the air, it buggs out and won’t revert back to normal behavior. But now at least there is a way to fly the plane.
I have exactly the same problem. No power during takeoff and flight. Something similar occurred during the initial period of use of this aircraft in MSFS 2020, but after an update the problem disappeared
Anyone else experiencing problems with non functional brakes and parking brake? There seems to be an error in the pneumatic system, too. (Or I am too dumb to use it properly)
For the missing power/smoke puffs/vibrating manifoldpressure issue, the workaround with the fuel selector works fine, but from my point of view, some ASh62 horses are still missing…
