Any idea why this is happening ? (Cranes issue)

Hi guys i seem to have a gfx glitch, as you can see form pic, im flying over some docs (somewhere in Spain i think it was). But there seems to be a glitch that ive circled? Any ideas!

That is no glitch. Look around you and you’ll see this everywhere: bridges, highway viaducts, harbour cranes. Depicting these cranes on a rectangular shaped form is less memory intensive than depicting every and each beam individually.

Yes, this appears to be the limits of photogrammetry. It’s very hard to represent objects that are “see through” like cranes, towers, etc… so they are represented like “solid” objects.

Those port cranes need fixing (Spain update 8)

A short note, as I was flying in Lisbon, I saw that the port cranes rendering is horrible and is a sore eye in the cities.! Some parts are even floating in the air. It is not reserve to this place and the program have real difficulty in rendering those skinny structures. IMO, It should be rework manually. [Crane structure problem_00]

Bridges, cranes towers and anything with girders

Bridges, towers, cranes and anything with girders are displayed as solid objects. Bridges look like they have walls from the roadway to the water on both sides. Cranes and towers are solid blocks. Is this a shadow issue?

Trees, cranes, not cleaned up in WorldUpdate photogrammetry

I realise that this would be a massive undertaking to correct, but the QA could be upped a bit on the 3D photogrammetry with cranes and trees meshes not removed and replaced by ingame tree and other assets. It was very present in the UK London update with the cranes. Its now also very present in WO IV. [Screenshot (30)] [Screenshot (31)]

I really cannot answer that but for sure fs 2024 will bring great graphical enhancements, so let’s wait for them .
