Any way to start a flight at one of the waypoints of a flight plan?

With a flight plan that lasts 3 or 4 hours, it’s not possible to complete it in one sitting. Is there a way to start at one of its waypoints ?

The “Travel To” feature is severely buggy and doesn’t seem to allow that (I have opened a ticket in the Zendesk for that).

BTW, the Globe map doesn’t show the waypoints when we load a flight plan, and doesn’t allow to select one in the NAV LOG screen.

You can save a flight anywhere during the progress, saving various files. The next time you load up the sim you should be able to load it into the world map and continue where you left off.

Ah, I forgot about that. I never used it because I completely expected it to fail.

No idea how stable it is and how well it saves the state of the plane :slight_smile:

I’ve tried saving a flight then tried to load it later and every time I try to load I get a ctd. Load flight (.flt file type) used to work before the the last two patches but, alas no longer. It was possible to save at any point, even in mid-air. This really needs fixing. Does anyone know of a work around.

I use the inflight saving and loading quite a lot.

Works most of the times but fails to load the flightplan sometimes.

If you are experiencing an issue with MSFS, remove modifications: liveries, airplanes ect.

I have no mods or extras of any kind - just the Premium Delux install.
Going to try saving a flight in different scenarios today and see if I can re-load it.
Trouble is, to do this I need to exit and re-launch MSFS to run each test and then I get a ctd on the load flight. This all takes quite a bit of time when all I really want to do is fly the plane.
