Hi,
I’ve tried few times to do a flight with an RNAV approach with the 787 (Heavy Division mod in my case, but I’m pretty sure this is not the problem): no way to make it flying the approach.
Doing all the arrival with no probs, as soon as the selected approach begins, LNAV mode still on, ALT HOLD on since I’m already at correct height for the FAF and so on…then pressing the approach button makes appear in the PFD LOC and G/S in white, so ready to engage. But nothig happens.
Anyway, I would expect something lige G/P and not LOC too…
Even worse, the airplane turns not anymore towards the next RNAV waypoint, as it would try to fly the approach again from its beginning.
No magenta waypoint if followed and all is messed up.
I tried different RNAV in different airports, and repeated the proceduire at some airports, no way. At the same time no probs with CJ4, 747 and other prop planes …but a disaster with the 787, never been able after SU6.
I’ve also tried to make a flight plan directly in the sim as well as doing on Simbrief then importing it into the FMS through the Heavy Division mod (same procedure I use with same mod for the 747), no changes.
Am I missing something on the 787?
Anyone else experiencing this issue with the Dreamliner?
Thank you

It works fine for me, but my 78X isn’t modded. I removed all plane mods a few updates ago.

Heavy Mod my case (to be able to upload fpl’s from Siembrief), not Salty, sorry.
RNAV is not implemented yet in the mod, The dev is currently working on a new FMC.

The 78X runs just fine w/o mods. The Heavy mod was great for a bit, but the updates, like with most mods, outpace their ability to keep up. Then one ends up with “broken” planes. Run it stock. My 2022 flight hours in the sim are proof it’s fine as is.

Sure!
I only noticed that mod since I can upload flight plans directly from Simbrief, so including payload and fuel load set in plan. Only for this reason.
Now that I know that reason why rnav approaches are not flown is this mod current version, no probs in removing it and importing the simbrief plans from the sim world map.
Thank you for your appreciated feedback !
The heavy mod is updated pretty much the same day an update is released or at the latest the next day and is constantly being worked on by the dev. The only version not updated for sim update 6 is the Stable version but if anyone has not joined the heavy mod discord Heavy Division [DEV] I highly advise u do so u can be up to date on updates and the dev always helps anyone that has any issues.

'Appreciate the advice, but my hours flown and lack of CTDs aren’t an accident. If anything compromises the functionality of my flying, I’m out. Case in point is this thread. It’s causing issues. I flew it for 5 of my 7 hours today. Zero issues.
