Hi,
after the last update i have the problem that my ailerons are not recenter after i use my joystick ( Logitech G940). The rest of the axis ( throttle, pedals) are working ok.
I seen in the FS config that the aileron axis is the only one, not to show the right indication from the joystick.
I calibrated the joystick. The axis are shown right in the sensitivity box.
Asobo doesnt need to add the rudder key binding change to the release notes and the Q&A, he has to fix it with the next update. Even assigning new keys with (in my case) right control to center things, it’s a pain in the ■■■ at takeoff and landing where keyboard players have there hands full.
There is nothing to fix because it’s not a bug, it’s a feature. Because believe it or not, that’s how real planes behave. Auto centering rudder was a convenience, but that’s not how it really works. You can either remap your controls, and/or turn on the take off assistance.
I have Thrustmaster 16000M, after 12/22/2020 update at least the Mooney M20R and Cessna 172 have have random and uncommanded rudder inputs. When I go to Controls and look at Sensitivity settings on the Joy stick the Z Axis position just bounces around uncontrolled with no hands on stick and no table or floor motion. I have re-calibrated joy stick and it doesn’t fix the problem.
You need to put in a deadzone of about 5% (+ or -) on each axis
When you’re flying using a keyboard, you don’t really give a ■■■■ how a rudder is supposed to behave irl. You’re more focused on making the plane controllable first then you can worry about realism after.
Thanks. Dead Zone already set to 8 on 3 axis.
Have you tried with the controller unplugged to see if it is the controller?
Try the new reactivity settings on your rudder.
One person mentioned around 65 took out their twitchiness.
Also the Sensitivity is not adjustable on the RT or LT functions. You can change them in the settings and hit apply and save but they don’t change and the next time you go into the settings they are back to default. Reactivity at 100% and no Dead Zone is a big problem for me.
Same here … I am using Xbox 360 controller. Before the update, LT and RT buttons were great to control the rudder but, after the last update, the rudder pedals go to one position and stay there, no recenter. If you are using pedals like Thrustmaster it’s easy to recenter, but it’s very hard to do it when you are landing using LT & RT and need to press Num5 to keep recentering the rudder. Even to taxi around the airports become very bad. Maybe that’s what happens in real airplanes but please MS or Asobot, give us an option to bring the controls back as they were ! The game become very boring for us that use Xbox controllers.
so Is the only solution right now just to map a keyboard binding for “center rudder”
I’m having same issues. I touch down and the plane veers one way, like a stuck rudder. Noticed it steering upon landing. I’m guessing the auto center feature changed during the last update. I also noticed when I did a slip to land, and when I touched down the rudder was stuck in the slip position. Made it interesting after landing. Now when’s that tower view instant replay coming out ? Lol
I like the feature that using keyboard the rudder doesn’t fully deflects nor return to center. It helps a lot during taxi if you want to do nice slow turn without full deflection and hold it there. To center just like good old FSX you press num5 and it centers. This feature is great ! no more crazy full rudder deflection with keyboard.
I have the same issue with a BE36
This worked for me, thanks!
Well, since I use keyboard for rudder, taxing has being terrible for me. I just wish they put a “automatically autocenter rudder” button on next update.
Why don’t you assign 3 keys close together (ex: in the num pad, 1,2,3)
with rudder left, rudder center and rudder right?
Obviously, you may need to re-assign the existing assignments, but that isn’t hard.
I did that a few years ago before I had pedals.
It makes keyboard taxying a lot easier.
Hi, go to …GENERAL/FLIGHT MODEL and change from LEGACY to MODERN. This was highlighted to me on another thread and instantly RESOLVED the issue. It started after November/December updates, spoiled the holiday period …Hope it resolves it for you guys too.
Asobo, are you dumb ?? so many people use the keyboard to steer the plane on the ground, auto-center is a must !! under the keyboard profil, there isn’t a RUDDER axis anymore, just incremental rudder movement and that sucks. FIX this or at least give us the chance to select what we want.
I got the same problem here.
Thrustmaster TFRP T.Flight Rudder Pedals
Can you describe exactly what the issue with your pedals is?
Your comment is a bit general.
