We will know very soon, but just to set expectations and know where or what to look at, does anyone know what are the supposed improvements for the weather system in SU7?, I’m not sure if this has been disclosed by the devs so just in case someone knows.
I hope its smooth. It’s the transitions that worry me most and which will be the hardest thing to get right. I’d hate to see MSFS take a step backwards when the visuals are the most impressive part about it and the weather is a huge part of that. A more accurate forecasting model will help but it’ll always be a fine balancing act.

I would like to see more defined clouds in live weather as well as better metar accuracy. And higher detail depiction, I mean, more diversity in terms of the size of the clouds and the shaping of formations that leads us to more complex representations of the weather. Something that gets as close as possible to this:
I don’t have enough time to sim to justify PC costs at the moment, that’s the long and the short of it. The Xbox allows me to enjoy a hobby when I have the time for a much lower cost
What interested me from yesterdays Q&A was Seb saying that he saw things he hadn’t seen before in regards to the weather. Maybe he was referring to the way the clouds form etc. Interested to see what these “not seen before” elements are.
Either way, I’m looking forward to seeing improvements to the weather overall.
I’m hoping they finally got to making the lightning look more realistic. It’s too slow as it is, and it needs to have ‘strokes’, the flashes you see in real lightning. Oh well one can hope
