Hello, I don’t own any 3rd party addons. I had AI planes in SU3 but after updating I don’t see any. I think I have all the settings correct. I have tried cycling between the different options to no effect (except they work but not AI). All I am looking for is some GA traffic around me, to make it more alive. I have also moved the range of traffic, currently on Ultra but the skies are empty.
I have the same here. After update to SU4 on 2 PC’s there is no flying AI traffic anymore, only parked traffic.
Same here no idea
Gamod 2024 works like a charm with SU4. Lots of Ga traffic with that.
Same, haven’t encountered any AI planes for ages, no 3rd party, online real-time traffic selected. Is there a bug report for this?
No I never did one. Never have and not sure the process. Also it seems a road to frustration, from the bug reporting I have read.
OK, I’m still not getting any flying AI or any AI talk with atc so I just created a bug report here:
Quick follow up on my side:
Sorry, disregard, I just found out I must have (or the sim did when it updated to SU4?) set dynamic settings to on at some point which must have turned the traffic to low. Put it back at ultra and working as normal.
Still nothing for me. I have moved traffic quantity options around, cycled between ai, off and online traffic. All with zero change. I do see other players if I have multiplayer ticked, but no ai offline aircraft. Before su4 I could fill the sky around me with traffic, now it’s a ghost town. I dont need the online traffic as it’s mostly airliners.
Are you reporting an issue with “AI offline” or “Real-Time Online” or both ?

The “AI offline” is not working, there is a report but it has been closed as “fixed-on-live” (no idea why, will investigate):
AI OFFLINE traffic disabled, trafficAircraft.bgl is empty
For the “Real-Time Online” I have no issue using those settings (but can be lower)

Example at KJFK:
Thanks.
AI offline, nothing. Both aircraft settings on ultra. Real-time is full of traffic, but as I said above, doesn’t suit my flying type. I am looking for low and slow traffic around me.
If anyone could confirm they are seeing ai offline traffic, then it’s something with me. Don’t know what but….
I am loaded in at KLGA at the moment with online and the airport is full of jets, and in the air. I assume a plane marked CPA 844 is not another human MP plane. I also see CAL 5322. I see their nav lights. But AI offline nothing.
Thanks again.
“offline” added to the title to avoid confusion with Live traffic.
Let’s wait for users feedback but as I mentioned above I think “AI offline” traffic is not working (it does not for me).
Thanks. It was working prior to SU4, for me.
The other report that has been closed is from November 2024 and no one mentioned that at some point issue was fixed. So it is interesting that it was working for you prior SU4. Don’t know what could have happened.
Just to add my name to this as another user who isn’t seeing AI offline traffic. I am flying GA aircraft and want small props at local airports for immersion. I don’t see anything in the air or over ATC.
Add me to the list of users who aren’t seeing AI Offline traffic (Xbox Series X, traffic density set as high as the xbox can take). Even with online traffic selected, I might get radio chatter from one aircraft if I’m lucky. It’s been bugging me for a while, and it’s surprising how lifeless the lack of traffic makes the world feel.
Bumbling around for an hour or so at a time with the only radio traffic being you occasionally getting handed over to a new centre does take the fun out of it.
I always wanted a flight sim, but could never afford a descent computer. I used to go to a friends house and fly all weekend if they let me. I was finally able to afford one for FSX, and I clearly remember my sheer joy of loading in for the first time to some random airport and there was a little friend doing touch and goes. Absolutely magical. But now that’s a distant memory.
Hello everyone.
I want to say about the SU5. The same thing. Not a single plane with AI. The sky is completely empty, but there are conversations with the dispatcher. I can hear the traffic, but I can’t see it!
The inability to “see” traffic despite ATC radio messages indicating they’re out there may have to do more with the aggressive LOD culling of AI traffic visibility.
