• Yes

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
• Any time I restart the sim, the settings have reverted to incorrect bindings, no matter whether a newer controller profile has been “applied to all aircraft” or set as default. Changing to any other aircraft makes the incorrect binding show up again. Switching to a different binding “sticks” to each aircraft, applied individually, for that sim session only, but reverts upon a new session.

I FOUND A FIX!! Apply to all aircraft working seems to be part of a general issue where some people’s connection to the cloud for certain things stops working. Maybe something is getting corrupted? Only happened to me when I installed on a second machine.

Anyhow, not without drawbacks (logbook gets reset), but this did the trick, “apply to all” working and everything saving like it should now:

Moved to User Support Hub since a solution has been marked.

I think this should still be bug-logged. The “solution” is a workaround that involves losing data. Can this not be addressed by the dev team?

Moved back to Bug Reporting Hub and workaround tag added.

Thank you for the bug report.

We have created an internal ticket to see if our team already has this logged, and if not they will attempt to reproduce the issue and create a new bug report. This item is now marked as feedback-logged. If there is an existing bug report or one is created, we will move this thread to bug-logged

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
• Not able to assign custom controls to all aircraft. Also I’m finding that a lot of times they are not saved to any aircraft.

how can we tell if “Apply to All Aircraft” is working ?

I previously had a guaranteed CTD if I clicked the “Apply to All Aircraft” button, eventually went down the ‘delete cloud saves’ route which definitely reset the sim so needing re-establishing the XBox user identity connection and having no custom controller profiles.

But if I select the Cessna 172, settings - controls choose the Mouse on the Devices list, duplicate the “Mouse 2024 Planes” stock profile into a new “B21 Mouse Planes” profile & check “Appy to All Aircraft”:

& hit OK.

The if I “Change Aircraft” to the DG1001 from the “Gliders” section, I don’t see that “B21 Mouse Planes” profile if I click through the profile choices there (only “Mouse 2024 Gliders”)

So what’s the point of the “Apply to All Aircraft” button? I’m guessing mine is broken but that’s from a clean restart after the Cloud Saves delete. No CTD (kinda an improvement) but no functionality I can detect either.

I’ve probably misunderstood what “Apply to All Aircraft” is supposed to do, and admit I don’t know why “Set as default” is needed. I’m guessing the latter is a menu ‘checkbox’ which is redundant because the profile currently selected is the usual way to make it a persistent setting anyway? But TBH I might have simply totally misunderstood these two options.

Workaround noted:

In “Controls” under “General Controls” or “Airplane Controls” when opening the configuration wheel to “apply changes to all airplanes” or even to “delete” a profile I get an instant CTD (Allways 100% CTD).
** Nothing in the Community folder, Unnistalled MSFS 2024 and installed again the bug persist.

Yes I do, nothing changed after the 1.2.7.0 update, no way to use it

I fixed this exact bug by deleting my cloud save… Re-installing the sim wasnt enough…!

it seems I had a corrupt cloud controls save somehow… quite serious bug TBH…it means starting again with all assignments. ! it did fix it though…no trouble since.

HOW TO DELETE YOUR CLOUD SAVE ON STEAM

  • From your Steam Library, right-click on the Microsoft Flight Simulator icon
  • Click on Properties
  • Uncheck the “Keep Game saves in the cloud for Microsoft Flight Simulator” box
  • Open (by default)C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata
  • Find the folder corresponding to your profile and delete the folder: Steam\userdata\usernumber)*2537590*
  • Restart Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024
  • Follow the onboarding and launch a flight
  • If everything works, quit Microsoft Flight Simulator then you can re-enable Steam Cloud Sync.

HOW TO DELETE YOUR CLOUD SAVE ON MS STORE/XBOX APP

  • Close Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024
  • In the search box, type “CMD” then select Open to open a Command Prompt

You can also run MSFS with “-DeleteCloudSaves” in a command prompt.

That does the trick. Career is not gone but the rest is, including logbook and controls settings.
