Is there any online tool like Skyvector which has geo-referenced approach plates for instrument flying?
Why should they be geo-referenced? Do you want the aircraft to be drawn on the map?
Why? Because it’s better. For example Foreflight does it as does the G1000 in real life. So I am looking for a simulated version.
And those cost a hell of money.
I’m not aware of any online tool doing so. There are several tools like Littlenavmap, which connect to your sim showing the aircraft on a map, but not on real approach charts.
Maybe we have to wait for add-on aircrafts with a built-in EFB doing this, like they exist for P3D.
You can use fore flight with simulators:)
True that, but its really expensive, was looking for a free something for flight sim
Well, at least the charts from Eurocontrol are for free.
little nav map is showing your airplane on a map, but does not have approach plates, but does show other information like frequencies, etc.
But I searched as well. No Free-“Foreflight” as far as I know…
Navigraph charts is great for that…and not too expensive…also has FMS
If yuj are serious a Navigraph subscription is what you need…about $100 a year. Nost of the charts thugh are available free from the country’s aviation website,
Navigraph charts acan do routing, insert the routing into the sim as a pln file and show your position on the chart (it connects to the sim through simconnect.
Yup, As mentioned Navigraph is the only tool for this IMO.
Even if you find a freeware route planning with some type of free charts, the key to navigraph is them updating the MS FS flight info to match Navigraph via FMS Data Manager (coming soon)
If MS FS 2020 doesn’t match the SID STAR charts you are using it won’t matter how nice the tool is.
Have a look at 101 if you are on the fence. One of the few no brainer payware pieces IMO.
FltPlan Go is completely free and has geo-referenced plates and live flight tracking connected to the sim. NA only though, I believe.
The key is not so much the charts and plates that you can compile with enough time yourself, its making sure you navaids in your planning software match the flight sim. FSM Manager is the key IMO.
