Im finding the marketplace very interesting coz it really does seem the low tier shovelware is what’s getting through at the moment the thing that makes this worse is the partner developers that helped make planes can’t get their stuff through at a decent rate yet the shovelware can is the owner of the shovelware company one of the marketplace workers or something only reason I could see to not put the partner developers and good quality add-ons put through first
Online all you see people talking about are the planes that generally are $40nzd up (this admittedly is pretty much the minimum I pay now after being burnt twice by cheap planes)
These being the Fenix aircraft fbw and others
Personally I don’t want a full study level airliner but the warbirds and fighters yes please so I’m more miltech, indiafoxtecho, DC designs flyingiron simulations these companies also are active in talking to there customers and helping while the shovelware stuff you won’t get an answer
I say that being in the discords for multiple of these developers having regular conversations and helping update them if I see something not working right after an update
The shovelware ones will not respond you will spend ages trying to to find a way of contacting them also the upgrade prices among other things they do are pretty obvious to anyone with eyes that looks Captain Sim and 4simmers I’m looking at you with these comments in this paragraph 1/10 companies do not recommend give a 1 coz some of the things are ok mostly xxxx
There are developers I would rate a below 0 because they can’t even name an aircraft correctly and have the right profile yf23 is the one that comes to mind off the top of my head

I maintain, if MS wants to maximize marketplace sales, and I’m sure they want that now more than ever, they should aim to be THE place to shop.
Quality payware, along with top tier freeware support. Zero trash. EDIT: captive Xbox market. They’d kill Flightsim.to overnight.
The problem is that this costs money in the form of moderators. They have to pay staff. We all know by now that they’d rather chase volume by letting everything in.
The other problem is that, because the marketplace is a sea of shovelware, and because MS’ internal processes are seemingly atrocious, It’s so much easier for a developer with a quality addon to just go to Just Flight, Contrail, or SimMarket instead.

It really is and sadly us Xbox users loose out with this but I fully understand why they would if my work was being jepitized by a company thats getting money out of it if be ■■■■■■ off
And then us as the consumers are the ones being screwed with at the moment it’s telling this is the stuff coming through before renting is an option
Again 2 of the developers I mentioned pretty much charge full price for an upgrade the c130j that’s been released this week by captain Sim is so obviously the c130j he did for 2020 but this hasn’t come through as an upgrade but a completely new product
The only difference was the name being reworded from c130j super Hercules to c130j
This is the Sxxx the marketplace team should catch

There are 85 votes now and it is not listed - so nobody is looking into it? It is an immersion killer!

PLEASE address/fix live weather in SU2 beta. It’s not working well.
Is SU2 being released to ALL this week?
No one knows, but they did say they were shooting for April.

This comment in the release notes for the current Beta 1.4.14.0 would indicate that they’re anticipating at least one more Beta build which would then need a test period.
Unlikely that we’d see a final release this week but it’s possible by the end of the month providing a Beta release this week is deemed to be satisfactory.
