Honestly I’m seeing what I’m liking which is regular beta release notes with new fixes every dang week. Thanks, Asobo – this is the work and you’re doing it. <3

Development update April 17. When I look at the Bugs & Whislist list of the snapshot, the date is April 10.
Isn’t that the same as last week?

I really really really wish they would be more transparent and show the publisher on those screenshots for new items in the 24 MP. If they don’t want to display them in the sim itself without hovering your mouse over them, fine I guess (although I think they should be openly displayed there, too), but at the very least in these updates they should list the publisher. It just strikes me as being intentionally dodgy.

As with the game itself, nothing gets checked before release. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

I did a bit of counting last night.
In the MSFS2020 MP (easier UI to navigate) under the ā€œActivitiesā€ section of the store I counted well over 500 products from 1 supplier( I won’t name) with a total of 225 reviews against them.

Conclusions

  1. these products from one supplier have obviously played a big part in the MP productivity metrics that show throughput.

  2. if we make a simple assumption that the number of sales of a product are proportional to the number of reviews it receives (not unreasonable) then these products have clearly added very little value to the Marketplace for MS/Asobo.

Suggestions: MS/Asobo would find it very beneficial to prioritise the release of products that are most likely to add the greatest value to the MP. It’s not just a matter of economics - dealing with this will also likely raise consumer (us) satisfaction and confidence levels - which are too low just now.

ā€œBring on the ā€˜planesā€ - new and major updates - and do it as quickly as you can. It is likely to make a big difference!

AKA - all the stuff most games get right before releasing!!! Lol

Imagine if COD or FIFA came out with half the features just plain broken…

Why didn’t many of the SU 1 fixes make it into the sim?
Why don’t the latest versions of add-ons make it to the Marketplace?
I don’t think I’ll buy anything from the Marketplace until this is resolved and the waiting times aren’t so long.
As of now, it’s very frustrating to buy add-ons from the Marketplace because they don’t work properly in MSFS 2024, and it takes months for new add-ons to appear in the Marketplace, and then they’re also outdated and thus buggy.
I’ve also tested many first-party aircraft and read the SU 1 release notes. I’ve found that almost all of these aircraft haven’t been fixed at all.
So, a lot of what’s in the SU 1 release notes is incorrect.
The most famous examples are the Pilatus aircraft with the cabin pressure issues.
It seems that many bug fixes were lost on the way to the sim.
Why is that?

…regular beta release notes with new fixes every dang week .

I would also be happy if these fixes eventually made it into the sim, see my post.
Cheers

More and more people are noticing this by actually reading the release notes and testing the affected add-ons.
I hope we get answers soon, and the alleged fixes from SU 1 will be added to SU 2.

Putting a ton of FS2020 content into the FS2024 marketplace as ā€œSALEā€ is a very weird move.

Pretty sure most of it is ā€œunverifiedā€ for FS2024 by the developer? Or have all of these been approved beforehand?

Nice to see continued work on the SU2 beta, along with patch notes. I am still dumbstruck that you won’t show the developer for 2024 Marketplace products. This was being ā€œconsideredā€ a few weeks ago. It’s shady at this point to be playing off the hype of product releases while hiding the developer.

What’s even more serious for the Marketplace is the lack of updates, old versions, newer versions on 2020 but withheld from 2024, etc. I am now outright looking for alternatives after being a so-called ā€œconvertā€. I don’t know how Asobo/MS are willing to allow their future revenue stream to directly suffer like this. Here’s your sign (among many others of course) that the November launch was not ready at all. This is unacceptable.

Can we get an explanation as to why the CRJ has not worked its way through to the Marketplace?

The only possible reason to hide the developer is to hope get a few more sales for products that would otherwise be more easily recognized as shovelware.

I can’t imagine it to be worth it for Microsoft, but here we are.

It would be nice if there was a filter option to hide content from specific developers that you have no interest in.

I think it’s astonishing that MS/Asobo aren’t concentrating on enabling the products that could generate the most value to MP - especially when doing this would obviously help the reputation of MP.
There are some quick wins to be had for MS/Asobo here - but instead the flow of high value MP addons and major updates has slowed to a trickle.
