Are there any Virtual Airlines

We are looking for new pilots and instructors to join us, this airline is a realistic and professional airline so please do not join if you are not serious about this.

REQUIREMENTS/INFO

  • We fly together a few days a week - Bush flights and exploring (these flights are not a must)

  • The airline is open 24/7 so you can earn rewards and money (Economy system) for it (Ay ay chill! Not real money, don’t get greedy now, but you will be able to transfer v-Money into real money, but that feature is being worked on right now).

  • You have to fly at least two flight plans a week that will be given to you out of many flight plans.

  • Looking for players from the EU
(US/Asia/Africa/Australia is possible but be active!)

  • The minimum age to join is 16.

  • We would prefer if you have some past experience with the
    following planes:

  • A320 neo

  • B747

  • B787 Dreamliner

  • Any Cesena plane

  • TBM

We are also looking for: Instructors and event managers
For more info, you may message us.

Real money? Whats the website?

I don’t get the point of virtual airlines. What is the aim? I mean you can just go to flight aware and pick a flight. Who checks what you are actually doing? The “in-game money” I earn, what is it for and what can I do with it. I don’t want to sound offensive, I am just curious.

In many ways you are right. S0me like a strict structure, I do not but each to their own.
My VA (worldwidevirtual.net)offers a wide range of tours flown with what aircraft tyou wish when you wish, They open up some places you may never have though of flying to. It also gives a huge range of schedules for those who want to fly airliners.
The other thing is a the forum and discord which allow you to become friends wih people you see flying regularly and maybe arrange group flights.
There is a huge wide range of knowledge in the members which is available if you have a problem or just want to know a little or a lot more about something aviation related,
Of course you can, and I do fly without logging in though it also provides a permanent logbook of the hours you fly.

Virtual Airlines have existed in some form or another almost as long as Flight Sim has. The way they work and operate has changed over the years. More recently, You have log books and virtual currency. This virtual currency is generally useless in the real world but in some models, It can be redeemed for software or items created specifically for or by that virtual airline. I know one I was involved in, One of the things you could redeem your currency for was for Paints/Liveries or Sceneries made by their team.

Other functions or features can include Type ratings and training - Getting trained as you gain hours to fly larger or more complex aircraft, Some VA’s specialise in ‘realism’ to the extent of being able to offer internal procedures of the Airline they’re emulating. ‘Real’ Dispatch, where you ‘sign on’ and receive your work package (Flights etc) for that time period, rather than you selecting what you want to do. Shared Cockpit is a fairly new ‘item’ to Flight Simulator but VA’s have generally embraced this as another function which can be easier than your general match-making gaming services, having other people with the same passion within a set group.

Another side of VA’s is management/staffing on a Virtual Airline. Some people are also passionate about the management side of a Virtual Airline, sometimes more so than the actual flying and like participating in creating and managing content and providing a service in an almost business like situation with people. To an extent, It’s almost like running a live ‘Airline Simulation’ business which is a game genre of its own. Managing growth, supply, demand etc.

The other side of it as well, is to be part of a community. These days there’s communities all over the place and everyone has their own Discord but in previous years, The internet was a lot smaller and getting involved in a VA was a way of you finding new friends who shared a passion in the same field (Generally towards an Airline)
Being involved in a larger VA as well, offered better opportunities to hold events on services like VATSIM as well.

Sorry for providing such a lengthy answer to a simple question, I didn’t intend for such a long answer but kept finding subjects that I felt were necessary in the response and beneficial for others fairly new to the Flight Simulation community.

I hope this is helpful,
Brendan.

The Admin Team

I’m late to the party but Inter Sky Airways is a fictional VA looking for new members. What’s the benefit of a fictional VA you might ask? It means we don’t have a real life counterpart that we’re modeled after, and therefore, we can fly the routes we want to fly and the aircraft we want to fly. We are looking for more members in FS2020 to start hosting events and group flights. We have a few real pilots in our ranks and our own custom liveries for FS2020, FSX/P3D, and X-Plane. Our hubs are:

  • KDEN - Denver
  • KSEA - Seattle/Tacoma
  • EGLL - London Heathrow
  • RJCC - Sapporo, Japan
  • YPAD - Adelaide, Australia

Check us out at interskyairways.com or join our discord.gg/vnKgvGY

We accept any experience level, from brand new to real life airline pilot.

Hi everyone,

I am having some issues with Virtual Airlines relying on FSUIPC7 as it is another paid addon.
Can someone confirm if there are any virtual airlines not relying on the FSUIPC7?

Thanks a lot.

Fsuipc7 is free. When it asks you to register just got hit “not now” or whatever. The paid version has extra features but the free version will allow you to connect with a virtual airline for free.

Thanks a lot CR3614. I will try that. :+1:t2:

Hey man, any examples of virtual airlines that offer virtual currency and a real dispatch system with work packages?

I’m looking a for a new VA that will let me transfer 800 hours. I’m also looking for one with a bit more realism. My current va allows constant over speed, flying over 250 bellow 10k, stalls etc. there really is no accountability Or airmanship. I’m also looking fo a va with an active discord. Ideally also some prop flights as well as airliner. Does any ca fit this description?

Check our VA https://www.abritishvirtualgroup.co.uk/ our flight tracker is FSAirlines.
