Does anyone have this kind of artefacts around ships ? I’m using GAIST AI Ships but it seems to be around default MSFS ships. Is there a possibility to disable the default ships to keep only GAIST ?
Is wireframe on in your developer mode settings?
I don’t know, my developer mode is disable. But I will check that.
I’ve seen these around MS-Asobo static asset ships near Chatham MA USA. They were also reported by another user in the GAIST thread when viewing the new Canada World Update. I’d say open the bug report and we can second/repro it.
I’m getting these on the stock ships around Vancouver. I have no relevant add-ons.
Wow. I never seen that before. It looks like Spider-man had a fight with Doc Ock on that ship.
Edit: You know what I only use their great lakes Mod so maybe that’s why I haven’t seen it.
Yes, it’s in Vancouver too. But I saw that too in Alaska (Nome) and in south UK (Southampton)

Hey, moderators, « Community support » or « bug report » ?! ![]()

Can’t move this into Bug Reports - there’s a mandatory template that needs to be completed.
And we can’t append that in here.
This artifact occurs with DX11 or DX12?
DX11
this is presumably related to the new wake waves effect on MSFS boats, some models.
OK, I create a new topic in the bug section with the mandatory template
…
See here now : Artefacts around MSFS ships
I’m sure this is a daft question, but if you’re using GAIST why do you have the default ships enabled at all?
What is the point?
GAIST add traffic, but do not disable default traffic, I think.
Hello, I have seen this problem too at Nice airport LFMN. I think it’s recent because I never have this problem before.
Indeed. The user needs to set the percentage of ships to 6%, no more than 10%, to enable GAIST but disable the default shipping.
I don’t understand why you try and have both going at the same time.
I’m at 50%
!
I will try to no more than 10, and see !
Yes!!
Henrik always said 6 should be enough to see all the GAIST ships and no default ones but you could go up to 10 to be certain. I have mine set to 10.
I didn’t read Henrik enough deeply in the text ![]()
But it seems to happen on static MSFS asset only. Will see when I could try.
Good luck!
