The Asobo Replay tool is not ready for prime time.
After installing it and following all the recommended steps, I hit a stumbling block. I could not get the “TIMELINE CONTROLS” to work.
I reinstalled/rebooted/etc. and still no joy!
Since this tool is part of the upcoming SU7 release, I recommend that the developers work this “Bug” out.
They have been very clear that it’s an experimental feature at this point, hence needing to enable dev mode to use it.

Thats why at first they didn’t want to publish it. It’s basically a dev tool and not made for the average customer
Also there’s nothing upcoming about SU7. It was released in November

Yes of course, and I did enable the development mode!
If there was a way to attach a screenshot, I could show you!
In that case, it is even more urgent that this bug is fixed!
“Experimental feature” means that they’ve acknowledged that it’s gonna be buggy for some people and is very much a work in progress

No it isn’t. Since the replay function remains an unsupported experimental tool they surely won’t make an effort to change it. I am reasonably sure it’s not a bug, and that there is a solution to your problem. Since it’s unsupported, however, you will have to either figure it out yourself or ask someone here who knows more about how to use it.

yes, I have seen both. Not very impressive IMHO, since the narrator “motor-mouths” his way through the important parts.
Well I guess that your expectations regarding an experimental tool and free help by someone, who put a lot of his spare time and effort into making a YouTube tutorial, don’t line up too well with reality …

As said above, it’s an experimental function with issues.
You’re not obliged to use it.
So, may I suggest you to not use it until it’ll be no more experimental and included in an official release.
Meanwhile, you can use this, wich is light, free, and works well:

I would also like to retract my remark about the “Motor-mouth” narration - I was not referring to the two videos by The Flight Level. I just saw them and they are indeed good. My mistake…

I’ve only used the experimental record feature once, but don’t you have to stop the recording, change the camera or weather, then press the first plus sign if you made a camera change, or the second plus sign if you made a weather change? I just remember it felt backward to me.

It works, it´s not the best or the easiest solution, but works as advertised if you follow the instructions
At this stage of the experimental version, the Replay tool is a Frame killer. I went from more that 30 FPS down to 7, so I will wait until the tool is ready for prime time.
