ATC Audio drops out, AI control of communication also fails

Brief description of the issue:

ATC audio (voices of the ATC) sound will cut out during a flight. Sometimes the AI Copilot (set to handling communications) cuts out. When ATC window is open, there is text from ATC, but no spoken audio of it.

Audio, not a visual problem.

Detailed steps to reproduce the issue encountered:

Happens at random, but on nearly EVERY flight.

This issue has been happening since SU5. Please post about it and vote in this thread: Thanks

I deleted the following folders in the MSFS official folder.

I then rebooted the sim and it reinstalled the folders and then i reset and saved the ATC related settings, then shutdown and restarted. So far, it has been behaving as it should, even with the co-pilot ATC active.

Agreed. ATC stops working after about 1 hour of flight. You will see what they are saying on the text box but you will hear nothing. This happens on almost every flight.

I have the same issue on the xbox version.

The SU5 release coincided with the 1st Xbox version.

I hope the moderators will merge this topic and the votes it has received to this old thread which is about the same issue that has never been fixed. ATC drops voice and text out with or without using AI copilot and has for almost 2 years now. While one can work around the issue for a while by using COM2, the only cure is to restart the sim.
