ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
When enabling ATC assistance from copilot, they keep requesting IFR flight plan change in an infinite loop.

• use a baron, free flight, Barcelona to Sabadell, the automatic conversation does not stop, a loop occurs that prevents, for example, changing airports

This happens to me too. Also the co-pilot keeps taking my VFR flight plan and requests IFR, rather than just flight following.

• Whenever “Request IFR Clearance for Instruments FP” becomes available in ATC window copilot will start spamming ATC with this request. The only solution is to turn off the copilot assistance. In FS2020 “Request IFR” option would disappear from the menu as soon as clearance was given, but in FS2024 it stays forever.

Confirm. ATC just isn´t working.

Im glad that they ported this feature from FS2020…

Actually they made it worse. I didn’t have this problem in FS2020.

Spent 3.5 hours on a Medivac flight for the Copilot ATC to glitch out at last waypoint. Tried to skip to decent, aircraft went insane and copilot ATC went back to takeoff prompts. This has happened multiple times on long flights.

I have the same issue. with all flights am attempting to take with atc

Can confirm. ATC looping is common on lots of career flights, but it also has happened to me on free flights as well. This is extremely annoying with AI on. When AI ATC is off I regularly run in to another bug where ATC instructions cannot be confirmed, just a “Say again”.

I have the same issues with ATC in Free Flight. For example, after requesting an altitude change enroute I’m cleared but then a minute later I’m busted for leaving my original altitude and told to go back to that original altitude that I filed with. And if I’m lucky enough to have the option to “Cancel IFR,” my AI Copilot requests a fresh IFR clearance to my destination. It’s an endless loop. I’m forced to ignore ATC from that point on.

I have exactly the same issue A320 neo in build flight Spokane to Seatle.

This happens to me as well. Specifically if I change a waypoint mid-flight and try to re-request IFR Clearance to include the new waypoint. It will cancel the IFR and request a new one after already accepting an updated IFR clearance, and the loop then begins.

Random Thought: ATC does not even -sound- good in 2024.

When I am flying through an area I know there is a lot of frequency changes (like when flying through Cleveland airspace) I would turn on auto-ATC so I do not have to keep changing frequency every two minutes.

Note: I generally use the Longitude or CJ4.

So, is there a fix to this issue? is really annoying on msfs 2024.

I have all of the issues raised above and it really kills my pleasure of flying! Pls. focus on improving ATC to the same level as e.g. graphics.

The problem has not been solved.
It goes on and on.
Just like the co-pilot asking for new IFR every minute.
